I recommend you listen to Person Pitch by Panda Bear then go back and listen to Strawberry Jam by Animal Collective.

I like them a lot but the hipsters bumming them piss me off.

The 70's sucked for music. Crappy pretentious rock that took themselves too seriously, then theres the disco pop music.

The only good thing from the 70's was punk rock and some of the soft rock/country singer song writer stuff was pretty good.

My conclusion is the 90's was the greatest decade for music. I think its a popular opinion the 80's sucked, but I don't think the 90's get enough credit for what it achieved. So many subgenres of alt-rock exploded. Then ofcourse early nineties rap. Late nineties started to dwindle in terms of music from what I remember and that followed through the travesty that was the 00's in terms of music. But still, 90's greatest decade for music ever, atleast since the 60's.

No Limit and Cash Money Records had a lot of good albums in the late 90s/early 2000s.

( at least ) 95% of all metal and prog is diabolical crap.

ps Dream Theater are THE most overrated band ever to make a record.

These opinions aren't unpopular in the real world, they only seem to be unpopular on some forums on the internet.
