Metallica: St Anger is a pretty good album.
Daft Punk: Human After All is a better album than Random Access Memories.
Foo Fighters (except for their first album): make cheesy Aor music.
Kanye West's last few records: the poor man's Pink Floyd

What on earth are you talking about? In what way shape or form?

Just read that and still don't see it. In fact, in many ways I'd say he's the opposite of Pink Floyd.

I'm sure that this occurs every now and then, but I sincerely doubt that the majority of them do this. I'm a tremendous fan of The Velvet Underground. They were my gateway into experimental music.

I don't see how her voice is fake nor pretentious at all. I find it wonderful and strangely masculine. Now I didn't like her voice at first either, but it eventually grew on me. I hope the same will happen to you.

(Her solo work is absolutely brilliant, too).

I don't really see how you could compare the two.

Even if this article had presented valid logic behind the ridiculous statement, it still is someone else's opinion.

The article barely touches upon Pink Floyd until the last paragraph then adds as the reasoning behind the article's hook (c'mon, he is, isn't he?)
It's a misleading and uninformative piece of journalism which doesn't do what it says it will in the title. Thus I am still waiting on someone explaining why Kanye West is a 'poor mans Pink Floyd'

Your contribution to this thread is to take someone else's half baked idea and pass it off as your own. Good thinking.

I guess that's why they call it an "unpopular music opinion"
