On black metal and doom metal: them's fighting words.

Your flagship band, Black Sabbath, has a singer that I absolutely loathe to listen to, and their very first song from their very first album is one of the most absolutely mind-numbingly boring tracks I've ever heard; and it's by the grace of God alone that I hit the "next track" button and, therefore, discovered "the Wizard" that I even allow this contemptible album to take up space on my computer hard drive at all.
Electric Wizard is the genre done right. What's that? I'm not allowed to call EW doom? Well never mind then, doom sucks.
Why wouldn't you be allowed to call Electric Wizard doom? They're the quintessential modern doom band. I'm not that into traditional doom myself but love modern doom. If you like EW I'd image you'd like a lot of modern doom.

The Beatles were a mere pop band, therefore can't match rock/metal bands like Zeppelin, The Clash, Metallica etc. ????

Who does this? I see the exact opposite. Metalheads the world over bag on Pantera and any band that sounds remotely like them, while treating thrash metal as if it is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Which is weird because groove is pretty much just..mid tempo thrash.

Well, the problem with a lot of groove metal is that it's based on a simplifying a genre that was already tapped out to begin with, so with few exceptions most groove metal is just two-dimensional, derivative, and boring. Even the best bands struggle to keep my attention after a few songs.
