I would go as far to say, that they are one of the best hard rock bands without doubt over the last 20 years.

haha Kiss the first sludge grunge band? I know some of the material off the "Destroyer" album like "God of Thunder" is heavy and slow.

Yeah, Pearl Jam are pretty darn good. Their discography is definitely strong. I think they are going to be looked back upon as a classic rock band like The Who and Zeppelin.

Completely agree, Pearl Jam have all the trappings of a classic rock band along with their own individuality (which was probably the thing I didn`t quite like about them before). I put Eddie Vedder in the same vocal class as Roger Daltrey, Robert Plant, Ian Gillan, Steve Tyler and Chris Cornell, as perfect examples of classic hard rock vocalists.

Furthermore, their discography is not patchy like that of the Who, it also never went off the rails like Led Zeppelin, or took a serious nosedive like that of say Deep Purple and Aerosmith.

I didn't say, I just think Pomplamoose is the kind of band the musical elitist of MB and Heavy Metal fans are just not into, but besides that I think they have a better sense what to do musically than KISS.

Proves that it is not an unpopular music opinion to like KISS.

Though I can agree, i think KISS was always image over art, but in the end they made some good fun music. Love em or hate em, they are a good kinda party band.

I used to think that Pearl Jam's discography only took a bit of a dip around their self-titled, but I have been warming up to it lately. I actually like Backspacer. I think Pearl Jam's spottiest release was No Code. While it had some friggin amazing songs (Off He Goes, Present Tense, Hail Hail) it also had a few songs that I felt never went anywhere. (Lukin, Habit, Sometimes, Around The Bend)

I would go as far to say that Pearl Jam has a stronger discography than REM.
