When someone says an entire genre sucks it seems pretty immature to me. You could at least phrase it better to not sound like an uncultured simpleton.

Particularly "Echoes" in 1971 which I'm sure influenced Mike Oldfield who debuted with Tubular Bells in 1973 and is probably recognized by many as the father of new age music. When Pink Floyd returned in 1987 under David Gilmour's leadership I think much of the music learned a bit more towards new age music.
