from time to time, but the melodies start to get repetitive and boring.

KISS is best listened to in small doses for that reason.

god, just put me on a fucking codeine drip, at least I'd enjoy myself.
I found two indie Folk bands this year. So even though I find what you said somewhat true with most bands I heard, there are still things out there that are worth listening.

for every genre that sucks, there's got to be something in there that doesn't suck.

That sounds like Newton's Second Law of Genres.

However stupid KISS might be, at least their ****tiness doesn't put me to sleep like the Shins.

I listen to a large amounts of ambient and drone, so the ability of putting someone to sleep is usually a compliment.

Indie barely even means anything as a genre. Such a wide range of sounds.

But I do like the screaming/and or growling, whatever...as well, pumps me up. I just have always preferred clean vocals.

There are countless amounts of people that cite Metal as not being a valid form of music because they think it is just a bunch of noise, but those people either don't get it, it scares the hell out of them, or they're just idiots. Every kind of music, in whatever form, whether I am a fan of it, is music...

Anyway. METAL FOREVER!
i wouldn't ever accuse a genre of not being music. in fact i wouldn't even say "[x] genre sucks" cause i feel that if i really don't like a genre as a whole then its cause it doesn't appeal to me personally and i haven't taken the time to try to appreciate what makes other people like it. i would sooner say a rap or rock song i don't like sucks cause at least i know those genres well enough to at least judge it compared to the rap and rock songs that i do like.

Kevin Barnes is the ball-licker of the world, and Conor Oberst is his cupbearer.

Real Estate needs to take a roadtrip to find their balls.
