How anybody in their right mind can consider this music boring is beyond me. There's absolutely nothing boring about it.
I'd say that is pretty average as Satriani goes. The Petrucci song is pretty boring. You should be jocking Tony Macalpine, hes far more interesting then Petrucci.

Can you define boring?

1.) "Boring" and "not to my taste" are subjective terms/phrases. One is just explicitly subjective while the other is implicit. There is no reason to treat "boring" differently.

2.) Due to point 1 you can not say that something is "evidently not" boring.

3.) Who's a butthurt whiner? You are. Yes you are, YES YOU ARE!

2. I like Adele because she's fat and inspiring.
3. I did sing a little bit, but my guitar was closer to the mic.
Then suck it up, go record yourself singing that song, and awkwardly slap it on there. Otherwise who cares?

This argument was better when it was twenty years ago and more then one person cared.

The real definition: "not interesting; tedious".

"synonyms: tedious, dull, monotonous, repetitive, unrelieved, unvaried, unimaginative, uneventful"

But with music being up for as much interpretation as it is, a simple label of "boring" doesn't make any sense to me.

I care. The guitar is more important anyway.

To be fair, I used more than simply boring, but boring means that it bores me, plain and simple. Hope that clears it up.

No worries. It does. I just took it a different way.

How is something obviously boring or not boring though? Whether you find something boring depends on what you're looking for. If something isn't providing what you're looking for and is only providing other sorts of content, you're going to find it boring--it's providing stuff you're not interested in, and not providing the stuff that you are interested in.
