What part are you confused about? My point doesn't make very much sense looking back though.

If its about the mentioning of Greg at all and the picture it's that he's a fucking tank and will probably strangle anyone who doesn't like DEP, I was trying to save boo boo.

Because a lot of it sounds like keyboards. And I don't care what kind of effects you use, if you play a guitar solo like you would a normal guitar solo, it's gonna sound like a guitar no matter what kind of pedal you use, there has to be a technique that goes with it to produce something interesting and out of the ordinary.

As for Morello's use of harmonizer pedals, I don't get the big deal about that, it's a pretty awesome tool and gives the guitarist a wider range of pitches and notes to work with, and allows him to do so without the need of studio post production.

Jack White uses a harmonizer all the time. And he's the guy everyone praises for being all "stripped down" and sh*t.

I think he's praise for being all "stripped down" for two reasons:

1. He doesn't have a bass player.
2. His guitars look like something he picked out of the trash.

He still uses overdubs a lot as well as harmonizer pedals, that's not a criticism by any means whatsoever and I really like Jack as a guitarist.

Jack may like simple, stripped down rock n roll but he still understands the usefulness in effects pedals to create a unique guitar sound.

what are some bands you just never understood why all the critics and fans splooge all over themselves whenever theyre mentioned?

for me that band is the clash. probably one of the most loved bands ever. I rarely hear people speak bad about them, but I've always found them pretty boring
