to quote "the idea of the avant-garde as a revolt of creative minds against the class no longer had meaning. The masses now followed a new philosophy that would shape history for the next few decades."

make what you want from that.

Does it specify what this "new philosophy" is?

And that specifically states, the idea of avant-garde, pertaining to a revolt of creative minds against the class (whatever "the class" is) and is not aimed at avant-garde per say.

It talks about the inner-conscious and how people abstractly expressed it, I don't know what you call that, abstract expressionism?

very true, misread on my part.

Urban Hat€monger ? 04-20-2007 04:50 PM

I'd call it a load of bollocks myself

right-track 04-20-2007 04:56 PM

That would be 'collective testicle expressionism' if I'm not mistaken. ;)

Urban Hat€monger ? 04-20-2007 05:16 PM

Collective testicle post expressionism actually ;)

Is this where we can jack off to boards of canada?

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 04-20-2007 07:39 PM

Well, you could do that anywhere. Its the moral questions it raises.

Jack off to that or like Animal Collective.

Animal Collective & Boards Of Canada?

You can jack off about them anywhere. I'm not saying their bad bands but they're hardly attention starved.

Now if we had this forum for bands like Aavikko or Holy Fuck , that would be more like it.
