That explains why I haven't heard of half them.

What was the last PG band you remember that got signed?
I don't really know when they all got signed because that's not the sort of thing I keep track of but post-grunge is hardly dead. Seether is releasing a new album.

Hey guys, if post grunge is dead, then why is that essentially the only f*cking thing I hear on modern rock stations?

I mean nothings changed, its still logjammed with crap like Nickelback, Seether, Hinder and all that stuff.

Get Born came out in late 2003, Maps wasn't released as a single until early 04, Tyrannosaurus Hives came out mid-04, and Highly Evolved came out in 2002. I'd say that's a pretty weird movement, what with all the big bands in it exploding at different times. I'm also willing to bet Linkin Park made more cash than all those bands put together seeing as they released, I think, an equal amount of big hits as all those bands big hits combined.

You didn't hear of any of the bands that we mentioned, and you've heard these bands you mention constantly but you don't keep up with them? What do you keep up with?

So you do keep up with it?

Can you clarify your position or state what you're getting at? Because it's completely meaningless to me.

Your new favourite band came out in 2002 went into the charts & made the Hives a headline band , The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were all over the music press when their debut EP came out, again in 2002.
And since when does a musical movement need multi million selling albums to become legitimate?

Don't play stupid. You tried to say you hadn't heard of half the bands that were not only on the radio, they were posted about here.

Now you're dodging an argument because you're losing. Just admit that you're not going to get anyone here with a clue to admit that The White Stripes suck and go post about how you love bands based on FBI files.

I'm talking about when they got radio play, not when they debuted though.

It doesn't, I'm not saying there was no movement. I'm saying there was a no giant mainstream and american radio movement. I'm saying the White Stripes aren't responsible for "delivering us from post-grunge hell." Seeing as Linkin Park and various pop-punk and nu metal bands were all over the radio and those 'garage rock' bands weren't.
