good point! he's been trained to accept it, that patriotic war generation. All we know is that Ray and David love him... His family could at least cut the old timer some slack :D

What I especially like is the way they openly mock the British class system throughout,something 60's pop albums weren't known for.

My favorite Kinks album. :thumb: I went on a slight binge this past Saturday, playing Something Else, Village Green, Arthur, Muswell Hillbillies, and The Great Lost Kinks Album. I only skipped Lola because I played it recently.

social satire yielded pretty much all their classics, although village green is the whimsical idealistic one which you can't argue with really. PE would be proud. Plastic Man/Burn Hollywood Burn there is definitely a link there. or not
