I tend to listen to more older music because today's music is not that great. You have a good music in today's scene but not as much as older music. That is my take on older vs newer music.

It swings back and forth, but right now I'm listening to more new music just to catch up on what's come out this year.

I listen to more new music by far. New as in 2000's and above, plus a fair amount of 90's music. I think there's a huge amount of really interesting music being released now. Kind of hard to sift through the garbage since just about a Niagara Falls' worth of new music is coming out every year, and not all of it is any good.
2017 has been a year where I've been going back to a lot of 60's, 70's and 80's music that I never really paid much attention to before, so I'm listening to more older stuff than I used to.

Seriously though? I feel like I want to lecture you on all the stuff you've been missing but I have to wonder how severely you really mean that?

1979 was the point in human evolution where sexual selection caused the species to adapt to one without the ability to make music. It's a real shame and the reason why all modern music is bad.

Our genes had to make room for my birth in 7 years.
