Yeah, or maybe The Nurse?
But ah. Totally with you on your pick nonetheless. |
Nirvana. Makes me think of Kurt. Then sadness. 'Cause Kurt Cobain was an amazing musician. But, like blackT said, it really shouldn't make me sad. Still love Nirvana lots though.

*pukepukepuke* Nine Inch Nails OR Nirvana. they always have some depressing undertone to their lyrics. |

I voted for Coldplay. I am not usually one to get involved with the negative posts, but this isn't really negative. Depression is a valid emotion, or state of mind, same as hate, love, angst, etc.
My wife enjoys Coldplay. She says they're relaxing. It sounds like one long song to me. |
The Used... by far in my opinion

They lift me up. Good n light for a pickmeup, if youre listening to the newer, and if youre listening to the old, its more like fast paced anger release than depressing. But , music is all down to opinion. Thats just my take on it. |
I voted for Other, or Floyd the Wall. High quality depression. Blue Sky might actually be the most depressing song in the album but there's a few close ones. The only thing I don't understand is these guys were rock stars. What did they have to be depressed about short of maybe having some chemical imbalance? (ahem, modern day crying brit bands) Still, beautifully sad music though. Screw Coldplay. I like Radiohead but hear the guy's a super obnoxious ass. I hate when fame screws with talent.
|
i bet my future mortgage that most of the people that have voted for radiohead on this have heard at the most 5 songs. yes they can be, but so can every band worth their weight. i vote coldplay, just because there new album is so atrocious it makes me want to down a bottle of tranquillizers.

....do you not think i havent heard those songs? i ownly literally everything they've done. and yes, granted, OK computer, amnesiac and kid A dwelve in more negative overtones. but the messages prevalent in their sonhgs are uplifting, its almost lyrical advice and help. the bends and large segments of pablo honey, hail to the thief and even OK computer have that affect.
|
I can see that for Pablo Honey and the Bends, and the music for a lot of OK Computer can be really uplifting but the message it's getting across doesn't seem to be at all. Like No surprises is very quaint and nice but about giving in to monotony, and the upbeat electioneering is about rigging votes so the electoral system is useless. Kid A and Amnesiac are really stark.
|
Nirvana - Rape Me is also a very depressing song... in my opinion. Cobain sing this very emotionely... as every single Nirvana's songs.
|
^ Agreed. Nirvana are pretty depressing.
Coldplay are definitely the worst though. |
I think the term Haunting, is better than depressing for most of the above bands. I would vote for abandonded pools as most haunting.

in my opinion it is atrocious. is that so hard to get your head around?!

the key words being "in my mind". different people hate different things. the sooner you grasp the concept of personal opinion the better.

i hate to repeat myself, but you should have learned by now, there is only my opinion, other opinions don't exist and/or are not valid or worth as much as mine..... that is all....enjoy the rest of your evening....:) |
if depressing-good I stick with floyd
depressing-bad probably coldplay though i don't think I've listened to an entire song so maybe i shouldn't judge them except most people i know seem to hate them neurotic/alienated=nirvana or radiohead haunting = some songs on peter gabriel us that's all i have for now without actual thought applied and i usually never follow trends either so imagine that |

And yes "OMGZ OpInIonz0red", I thought that bit of immaturity would appeal to your immature taste and typing. I don't expect to be growing anymore than I already am now, which is an acceptable height, unless you mean mature in a mental standpoint which I'm certain I don't need to. Thanks. |
Is this the bit where someone posts that special olympics retard picture?

and putting iron maiden over coldplay, yes, any day..in fact, i'd put bon jovi over iron maiden.....and that's saying something..... now go play dungeons and dragons kid.... |

And now you're into your own opinion about Iron Maiden, ignoring things that can be objectively described such as musicianship or originality. I'm glad you have your own opinion about things but frankly I can argue why Iron Maiden is much better than Bon Jovi or Coldplay easily. And no, I won't go play Dungeons and Dragons. I don't know how to play, I don't own any of the necessary things to play, and I don't know anyone who does play. Good day. |
I think people should be allowed to hate at least one band without having to resort to facts or figures.
With Adidasss it`s Iron Maiden for me it`s U2 |
