Well, Butthole Surfers are pretty awesome. The rest I'm not really familiar with unfortunately.

Pavement- Loretta's Scars
Desmond Dekker- Israelites
Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington- In A Mellow Tone
David Bowie- Rick 'n' Roll Suicide
James Brown- Papa's Got a Brand New Bag
Pink Floyd- Comfortably Numb
Marlene Dietrich- Lola
Bobby Paris- Pers-o-nally
Van Morrison- Moonshine Whiskey
Grateful Dead- Estimated Prophet

an ok shuffle I guess...

dead man's bones - pa pa power
extreme noise terror - mass control
the mountain goats - the best ever death metal band in denton
surfer blood - floating vibes
capitalist casualties - total enclosure
jonathon richman - roadrunner
hella - song from uncle
liars - the other side of mt heart attack

some of my favorite bands.

Yes yes to Surfer Blood! Great tune.

Boards of Canada - 'Down Chorus'
Fishbone - 'Death March'
Kings of Leon - 'Spiral Staircase'
311 - 'Don't Stay Home'
Gorillaz - 'Demon Days'
Les Claypool's Frog Brigade - 'David Mackalaster'
The Thermals - 'Back to the Sea'
Titus Andronicus - 'No Future Part Two: The Day After No Future'
Dispatch - 'Two Coins'
The Mars Volta - 'El Ciervo Vulnerado'

I have to admit to not listening to all of these songs before. It is a much more random spattering than my last shuffle, so my pick isn't necessarily one of my favorites...

That is exactly how I view it. I hold One Hot Minute in decent regard almost solely for 'Aeroplane', 'Pea', and 'Coffee Shop'...

same, Aeroplane is definately a great song by them, regardless of when they made it.

fan of BoC, thermals, TA and TMA. The others are either ok or haven't heard of. As for my list let's see...
Off with their heads- the beijing ****tail
Neutral milk hotel- holland, 1945
why?- simeon's dilemma
deltron 3030- 3030
the germs- Richie dagger's crime
slint- breadcrumb trail
drake ft bun b & lil Wayne- uptown
surfer blood- fast jabroni
nofx- decom-poseur
agalloch- falling snow

about as good of an outcome as I could have asked for concidering the 5000+ on my iPod haha. Got some punk, indie-ish, some underground hiphop, a metal song and even a mainstream rap track. Pretty consistant with my overall taste in music, quite varied IMO

The last poster didn't play by the rules, and i haven't a clue what music he/she just posted so i'll comment on the one above.

That's a nice list of music right there (apart from NoFX but they're just a fun band). I'm really digging Surfer Blood at the moment.

Galaxie 500 - Song In 3
Ryan Adams - Goodnight, Hollywood Blvd
The Cure - Breathe
The White Stripes - The Air Near My Fingers
Beck - Soul Suckin' Jerk
My Bloody Valentine - Touched
The Beatles - Roll Over Beethoven
Dinosaur Jr. - Imagination Blind
The Beatles - The Inner Light
Sonic Youth - Anti-Orgasm

This song stands out for me. A really sad and beautiful album closer.

I don't know a lot on that list, but it seems pretty good. I like Parts and Labor and Spacemen 3, that's all I can really say though.

Cub- The Day We Met
Sea Wolf- Song For The Dead
Lightspeed Champion- Midnight Surprise
Balkan Beat Box- Baharim
The Tallest Man On Earth- I Won't Be Found
Jenny Owen Youngs- No More Words
Sim Redmond Band- Pedza
The Acorn- Flood Pt. 1
Bill Callahan- Rococo Zephyr
The Lonely Island- Shrooms

Haha The Lonely Island...
