Fantastic song from a fantastic album. :)

dollarsandcents 09-22-2009 06:23 AM

Good RS track and Mars Volta I enjoy. Heard of the Foo Fighters and White Stripes tracks but I'm not that keen. Can't really comment on the rest as I haven't heard the tracks in question. Not bad.

Cap'n Jazz was always just ok to me, I should maybe revisit them soon. I like Isis, NoFX, Beck, and Fugazi, don't know the rest. But with those, the list is strong enough.

LITE - Ghost Dance
Red Red Meat - Buttered
Clear Light - The Ballad of Freddie & Larry
Quicksilver Messenger Service - Light Your Windows
New Radiant Storm King - Viral Mind
Nosaj Thing - Quest
Harmonic 313 - Galag-A

Shuffling from the 8gig...I've got a lot of stuff that's been sitting on here forever so naturally it's showing up from time to time on my shuffle lists. Need to give those albums another spin then rotate them out.

Unrelenting 09-23-2009 07:33 PM

I'm not crazy about some of the stuff on that list but Butthole Surfers and Curtis Mayfield get the big thumbs up.

Rickenbacker 09-27-2009 09:05 AM

One of the worst I've seen so far. And don't think that Aerosmith saves it at all.

Keith Jarrett - Bremen Part 1 (Live - from "Solo Concerts: Bremen")
The Fugees - Fu-Gee-La [Sly and Robbie Mix] (From "The Score")
R.E.M. - Femme Fatale (From "Dead Letter Office")

The Abominable Homan 09-27-2009 09:27 AM

Never been big on stuff like Sex Pistols and R.E.M., but not a bad list. Frank Zappa and PJ Harvey are both quite good.

Wilco - War on War

Kanye West - Welcome to Heartbreak
Chiodos - Prelude
The Beatles - Back in the U.S.S.R.
The Residents - March de la Winni
Strapping Young Lad - Two Weeks
The Flashbulb - The Sun and the Star
Kayo Dot - Gemini Becoming the Tripod
Radiohead - Subterranean Homesick Alien

Why does Kanye always come up when I do this?

NumberNineDream 09-27-2009 11:38 AM

^ It's never good to have Kanye in a playlist lol. Some of my favorite bands are in here tho, Jethro Tull, Radiohead, The beatles. Never heard the The Flashbulb track, but judging by the playlist it must be good song. I shall search it later.

The Abominable Homan 09-27-2009 11:52 AM

I'm not really into stuff like Led Zeppelin and The Doors, but there are some good artists there (Lennon, Deep Purple, Smashing Pumpkins, and Bob Dylan especially). I haven't looked too far into Lennon's solo career though I don't know that particular song.

Devin Townsend - Things Beyond Things

Apostle of Hustle - NoNoNo
The Mars Volta - Candy and a Currant Bun

A Tribe Called Quest - What?

Not all that good to me....

NumberNineDream 09-27-2009 12:09 PM

Baby, Let Me Follow You Down-Bob Dylan
Me And Bobby McGee - Janis Joplin
We never change - Coldplay
Before You Accuse Me - The 13th Floor Elevators
It Didn't Take Too Long - Gary Higgins
You Still Believe In Me - The Beach Boys
Street spirit (fade out) - Radiohead
Happiness Is a Warm Gun- The Beatles

Deviation Street - The Deviants
Devils & Dust - Bruce Springsteen

bah! I can't stand coldplay, I donno why I have their discography. anyway, I love those two tracks, can't choose between them. And not a bad Beach Boys track in there. Nice comp.

Zer0 09-27-2009 03:27 PM

Not a bad list. Coldplay let the show down though, but props to Radiohead, Dylan and the Boss. I have to look up The Deviants and Gary Higgins though.

Kate Bush - Hounds Of Love
Smashing Pumpkins - The Everlasting Gaze
Black Sabbath - The Wizard
New Order - Vanishing Point
The Cure - Cut Here

Pixies - Vamos

Classic Maiden :D

The Abominable Homan 09-27-2009 05:39 PM

Not bad, a lot of good, if somewhat predictable artists there.

Beck - Devils Haircut
Jay-Z - Friend or Foe
The Blood Brothers - I Know Where the Canaries and the Crows Go
TV on the Radio - A Method
The Residents - Tourniquet of Roses
Mr. Bungle - After School Special
Buckethead - For Mom
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - 1983
OutKast - Ms. Jackson
Deltron 3030 - Positive Contact

Damn, The Residents and Mr. Bungle in a row.

+81 09-27-2009 06:08 PM

Solid Beck song, decent but not my favorite Blood Brothers track, excellent Mr. Bungle song from my favorite album. I've heard a bit of all the rest but not really familiar with those songs.

John Frusciante - Slow Down
Mew - Hawaii Dream
She & Him - I Was Made For You
Sonic Youth - Burning Spear
Ramones - Please Don't Leave (Demo Version)
Coachwhips - Hey Stiffie
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Tupelo (Single Version)
International Beat - Hands Off She's Mine
A Perfect Circle - The Outsider
The Moldy Peaches - Anyone Else But You

Not too bad until A Perfect Circle and The Moldy Peaches. Not really a fan.

The Abominable Homan 09-29-2009 05:31 PM

Really nice list...Zappa, Aesop Rock, Miles Davis, etc is all really good.

Coheed and Cambria - Gravemakers & Gunslingers

Shuffle didn't do a very good job of shuffling. Really, of 10,000 something songs it chooses two Beatles songs in a row?

Charlemagne 09-29-2009 05:52 PM

I personally am not a huge fan of this list, Modest Mouse is good, but I'm not a fan of any of the other bands, I've never heard of Mae.

Conor Oberst- Souled Out!!!
Glint- A Crowded Room
Franz Ferdinand- You're the Reason I'm Leaving
Guided By Voices- Peep-Hole
Bright Eyes- At the Bottom of Everything
Elliott Smith- Everybody Cares, Everybody Understands
Ingrid Michaelson- Highway
What Made Milwaukee Famous- The Right Place
She & Him- Got Me
Elliott Smith- Cupid's Trick

I'm getting sick of the shuffle on my iPod, 4500 songs and every shuffle I get a song by Guided by Voices and Franz Ferdinand, I only have one album of theirs!

storymilo 09-29-2009 06:00 PM

Ferdinand, Elliot Smith, and Oberst are good. The rest I don't know that well

Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington- The Beautiful American
Luciano Pavarotti- Amor Ti Vieta (From Fedora)
Buddy & Bob- Soft Place In My Heart (Undubbed)
Rise Against- Like The Angel
Santogold- You'll Find A Way (Remix)

Spoon- Me And The Bean
The Beatles- Something
Alice Cooper- Poison
Elvis Costello & The Attractions- Psycho (Live)
