The Flaming Lips, Coheed, and +44 are cool. That's the best +44 song in my opinion. Never cared for Lamb Of God, The Black Crowes or Melee. I haven't heard the rest.

Very nice list, very nice indeed. Lots of classic songs, and I'm a huge fan of many of the artists on the shuffle (Bruce, BB's, Bowie, Radiohead and Elvis). I'd have to say I'd have gone for Radiohead as my favourite though, one of their best.

Pink Floyd - Breathe
Subtle - Return Of The Vein
Talib Kweli - Listen!!!

Glenn Gould is just a piano player, not sure if he composed anything but if you look at the track you can see he is playing Mozart.

Good choice on best pick, fantastic song. Atmosphere, AC, Charles Mingus, and Butthole Surfers are great. I don't like Black Dahlia Murder too much, and Dire Straits and Simon & Garfunkel are pretty good. I haven't heard anything by Clutch or Call Them Quits before.

Weird list, definitely not the most interesting.

+81 09-18-2009 10:49 PM

I'm not familiar with much of your list apart from Beirut, Ten Grand, and of course Nirvana. I haven't really been excited with anything I've heard by Beirut or Ten Grand yet. I used to be completely in love with Nirvana years ago.

Yeah not bad, though I've only played the album twice so far, and just heard some of the songs again on shuffle.

Charlemagne 09-19-2009 03:47 PM

Once again, nothing on this list is bad, but nothing is my favorite either, I like Rilo Kiley, They Might Be Giants and Martha Wainwright, the rest I either don't have an opinion about or don't know.

This is great stuff. Heroin is one of the best VU tracks, I LOVE the McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra, a great Hendrix track (that reversed guitar solo always gets me), plus Skip James and Horace Silver. The rest I'm shady on. 9/10
