Michael Jackson - Black Or White
ReCon & Demand - Like A Rainbow
ReCon & Squad-E - Claim To Recycle
Robert Miles - In My Dreams
Snow Patrol - Finish Line
Tomcraft - Lonliness
Solar Stone - Seven Cities
Robert Miles - Children (original version)
Stereophonics - Superman

pretty shit playlist imo.

+81 09-29-2009 06:26 PM

Either I don't know it or I'm not that into it. Sorry, little in that list for me to comment on.

Four Tet - Smile Around The Face
Rapider Than Horsepower - Testify
Kincaide - untitled
Daniel Johnston - I Hate Myself
Shotmaker - In Motion
Kevin Drew - Lucky Ones
Eric's Trip - Sunlight
Atlas Sound - River Card
Kings Of Leon - Notion
The Golden Dogs - Can't Get Your Face Out Of My Head

Charlemagne 09-29-2009 06:30 PM

I like that list, a lot of good stuff, Daniel Johnston, Kevin Drew, Kings of Leon and Atlas Sound are all good, haven't heard of the rest.

Vetiver- Los Pajaros Del Rio
Deer Tick- Hell on Earth
Perhapst- Incense Cone
Say Anything- Metal Now
Smoking Popes- Can't Find It
Jenny Lewis With The Watson Twins- Rise Up With Fists!!
The Ramones- Listen To My Heart
Arctic Monkeys- Balaclava
The Mountain Goats- Cubs In Five
Silversun Pickups- Rusted Wheel

Weird shuffle, at least most of these artists haven't shown up any other shuffle I've done.

The Abominable Homan 09-29-2009 06:50 PM

I post too much in this thread I suppose, but I enjoy this pointless little game. I can't say I'm huge on your stuff either... a decent bit I haven't heard, then some things I don't really like (The Ramones, Arctic Monkeys, etc). Silversun Pickups are good though, so there's one point.

Bark Bark Bark - Brand New Shoes
Ludacris - Greatest Hits (Skit)
Dinosaur Jr. - Back To Your Heart
Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll
Jaga Jazzist - Going Down
Daelek - Koener (using -e since I'm too lazy to get umlauts)
MF DOOM - Fillet-O-Rapper
Honest Bob and the Factory-To-Dealer Incentives - Country Mo-Fo
Wilco - Kamera
Buckethead - Soothsayer (Dedicated to Aunt Suzie)

Wow how terrible. Two skits of sorts, several repeats from artists I've already had show up, and really only two songs I even like (Soothsayer and Going Down).

DetroitMike 09-30-2009 11:25 AM

Gotta love these, I'm not normally one for such "surveys" but anything with music is cool, I enjoy seeing what people are listening to.

another one from me;
1. Black Flag - I Love You
2. Jane's Addiction - Standing in the Shower...Thinking
3. Steve Earle - John Walker's Blues
4. Rollins Band - Hard
5. The Adicts - Runaway
6. Minutemen - Courage
7. The Pogues - 5 Green Queens and Jean
8. U.K. Subs - C.I.D.
9. Gogol Bordello - Harem In Tuscany (Taranta)
10. Tom Waits - Misery is the River of the World

TyrantSong 09-30-2009 12:21 PM

I look at that list and nothing really grabs at me as something I much care for..

1. "Never Is Enough" Barenaked Ladies
2. "Creeping Shadow" Kow Otani
3. "LOL" Pepper
4. "Blame the Vain" Dwight Yoakam
5. "Halloween II" Misfits
6. "Big Salty Tears" The Ziggens
7. "Sister Beams" Slobberbone
8. "Ayo Technology" Milow
9. "Ten Days Late" Third Eye Blind
10. "Velcro" Single File

Just an ugly shuffle this time.

Zer0 09-30-2009 02:44 PM

The only song i've heard is the Misfits Halloween II, which is great. It's one of the wierdest, creepiest songs ever.

Afghan Whigs - I Keep Coming Back
Pink Floyd - Have A Cigar
Melvins - The Smiling Cobra
Lemonheads - Hannah & Gabi
Pixies - I Bleed
Husker Du - Too Far Down
Echo & The Bunnymen - A Promise
Slowdive - Sing
Jucifer - Pontius Of Palia
Tricky - Suffocated Love

I love this song. Bob Mould is at his best and most honest with an acoustic guitar. There's so much emotion in his voice.

sidewinder 09-30-2009 04:44 PM

Nice Floyd track, and props for Melvins and Plixies also. The rest I'm not familiar with or don't really care for.

Crippled Black Phoenix - Littlestep
Cursed Chimera - Lo-Aquios Alsa
Mr. Oizo - Analog Worms Attack
DMX Krew - Wave Funk
Two Fingers - Sinus Rhythm
Lone - Minor Suns
Year of No Light - Sélénite
Prudence - Lost in the Forest
The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble - Parallel Corners
Squarepusher - Massif (Stay Strong)

A short song but I'm really getting into this guy lately, at least the instrumental stuff.

Charlemagne 09-30-2009 10:00 PM

Wow, I've never listened to any of that stuff, so I can't really judge, that sucks.

The Microphones- The Glow Pt. 2
Great Lake Swimmers- River's Edge
The Shins- Australia
Nirvana- Rape Me
The Twilight Sad- Fourteen Autumns, Fifteen Winters
Tegan and Sara- Dark Come Soon
Asobi Seksu- Blind Little Rain
Kinnie Star- La Le La La
Socratic- Janis Joplin Hands
Bishop Allen- The Ancient Commonsense of Things

Really really good shuffle, except for Nirvana.

+81 10-01-2009 12:59 AM

Nice Microphones and Shins song. I enjoy pretty much the whole list. I haven't heard Kinnie Star though.

Be Your Own Pet - Food Fight
Battles - Rainbow

Le Tigre - Bang! Bang!
Hot Cross - History Fell in the Heart Broke Open
The Constantines - National Hum
Holy Fuck - Lovely Allen
Palatka - Black Elk
Beck - ****in With My Head (Mountain Dew Rock)

I play this dorky game way too much.

Antonio 10-01-2009 02:59 PM

Reverend Horton Heat – Goin' Manic
Graf Orlock – Dutch and the Demon
Alice in Chains – Dam That River
The Human Abstract – Self Portraits of the Instincts
Wes Montgomery – The Surrey with the Fringe on Top
The Beach Boys – Hang On to Your Ego
Enter Shikari – Labyrinth
Pixies – Monkey Gone to Heaven
Between the Buried and Me – Lost Perfection: Anablephobia
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band – Hair Pie: Bake 2
Parliament – Funky Woman

NumberNineDream 10-01-2009 03:11 PM

^I like the Beach Boys and Cpt. Beefheart, but unfortunately I don't know much of the others. But I'm curious about "Hang on to your Ego", are you a Beach Boys fan, or this song is one of the exceptions. Cause they do have much better songs :/

Astronomy Domine - Pink Floyd
She's Out of My Life - Michael Jackson
One for the Vine - Genesis
You Are Here - John Lennon
What Am I Going to Do - The Dovers
How Do You Feel - Jefferson Airplane
Dollars And Cents - Radiohead

Pet Sounds is a good way to start, their earlier stuff is shyte [borrowed that word from sidewinder lol]. Anyway, some good albums from their later career, my personal favorites, Smiley Smile and Surf's Up.

storymilo 10-01-2009 03:56 PM

I have Pet Sounds too. I find it to be pretty overrated but it has some occasional interesting moments

Numbernine that's a great list, pretty much everyone there except maybe Michael Jackson is some one I love.

Iggy Pop- Tiny Girls
The Beautiful South- I Love You (But You're Boring)
Desmond Dekker- Get Up Little Suzie
The Stooges- 1969 (Remastered)
Tom Waits- Big In Japan

I can't say I listen to any of those artists except for Mastodon. I like the occasional Iggy Pop or Stooges song but overall I'm not really a fan. I also like a couple of Ben Folds songs but otherwise he doesn't do it for me.

Areknamés - The Web of Years
Mr. Oizo - Inside the Kidney Machine
Indian Summer - Touch the Wing of an Angel...Doesn't Mean You Can Fly
Geskia - Inside Out Nights
Diagonal - Child of the Thundercloud
µ-Ziq - Problematic
Ten Grand - Fuck You Guyses Teams
Cursed Chimera - No Control
Ten Grand - Let's Wreck the Van
ISIS - Hall of the Dead

Haven't listened to any µ-Ziq in a while, nice to hear a classic track. It nearly put me in a trance. Decent list overall...though I'm still not sure I enjoy Ten Grand.

The Abominable Homan 10-01-2009 07:01 PM

I'm not familiar with some of that, but The Stooges, Tom Waits, Mastodon, and Iggy Pop are all pretty good.

Edit: Hell, Sidewinder posted before me. To be honest if yours was the most recent when I hit reply I probably wouldn't have responded since I know very little of that, so someone more knowledgeable could give their thoughts.

The Chemical Brothers - Shake Break Bounce
System of a Down - Hypnotize
Hideki Naganuma - Funky Dealer
Primus - Spegetti Western
Obituary - Bloodsoaked
The Roots - What Goes On Pt. 7
Nirvana - Come As You Are (Live, from the Unplugged in NY album)
Vader - Flag of Hate (cover)
The Sound of Animals Fighting - Un'Aria Ancora
The Beatles - Good Day Sunshine

The Beatles seem to pop up in all of these for me...

Hmm, not bad. I'm digging SOAD, Chemical Bros and the Beatles. Primus and the Roots are ok, not so keen on the rest of the.

Television Personalities - Jackanory Stories

The Decemberists- The Crane Wife 1 & 2
The Morning Benders- Loose Change
Kaiser Chiefs- Time Honoured Tradition
Sufjan Stevens- Star Of Wonder
Pearl Jam- I Am Mine
The Mountain Goats- Lion's Teeth

I play this game too much. It's a good time killer though. Yes my favorite song out of these is a Christmas song, but it's a gorgeous Christmas song and I can listen to it year around.

dollarsandcents 10-02-2009 09:09 AM

Good list on the whole. I like Animal Collective and The Decemberists. Huge fan of Phosphorescent too so bonus points there! These are negated by The Kaiser Chiefs though unfortunately, but still, above par list.

Rickenbacker 10-02-2009 09:37 AM

Pretty good list here. Such a great Beck track, plus an underrated Smiths song. Also points for Cat Power and Bright Eyes. Life on Mars? is a great song but I've never heard that cover, and that Johnny Cash track is from American IV, right? Good stuff.

An Horse- Rearrange Beds
Wolf Parade- Same Ghost Every Night
P.O.S- Hand Made Handgun
