In the words of Julie Andrews, start at the very beginning, a very good place to start.

Christ do we really have to debate on the musical merits of Dylan?

I love that movie and the music. Perhaps we should have the courage to nominate Rogers and Hammerstein instead of the flaming obvious

Blonde on Blonde, Bringing It All Back Home, Freewheelin', Another Side and Blood On the Tracks (in that order). Don't forget to get the non-album single Positively 4th Street, it's brilliant (why the hell did they insist of excluding most singles from the albums back then? It's annoying as hell.)

Is that right? I only have 61 and Back Home. Maybe I'll grab the Blonde on Blonde.

Blonde on Blonde is by far my favorite Dylan album. It's the best of the trifecta IMO.

I like that Positively 4th Street. I only have his Greatest Hits though. I might try some other stuff if I ever get paid.
