Alchemy Index LAST? I'm haven't listened to them enough to do their entire discography, but I would definitely put AI and Vheissu towards the front. I guess it just depends on if you like the "new Thrice" or the "old Thrice".

"Digging My Own Grave" is such a beautiful song :'-(

My Black Sabbath:

Black Sabbath > Master of Reality > Paranoid > Vol. 4 >x1000 The Rest

Predictable I know, but I like good heavy music and this is all they made that fits that description

Sorry about that then.

I'd say that every Floyd but the last has something worth hearing. Actually Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict is pretty amusing.

Ah, I just forgot it. Put it between A Hard Day's Night and Beatles for Sale. I was never a huge fan of the Beatles' poppier stuff, so those albums are pretty ambiguous in how I ranked them.
The early stuff is great, their lyrics did start out pretty weak and generic (not that that's the selling point of pop music anyway) but their melodic talents have always been intact. I do like their first 2 albums less because they are dominated by covers and while The Beatles were a good cover band, that isn't why I listen to them.

In retrospect, I'm gonna switch places with Beatles for Sale and Hard Day's Night.

Hard Day's Night > Beatles for Sale

Later Genesis may as well be a different band...but oh my god did it get bad when Ray Wilson showed up. Just bad, horrible, terrible music.
Genesis have gone through a pretty interesting evolution.

Lousy psychedelic pop band under Gabriel > Good prog band under Gabriel with Anthony Phillips and John Mayhew > Great prog band under Gabriel with Hackett and Collins > Great prog band under Collins with Hackett > Great pop band under Collins without Hackett > Lousy pop band under Collins > Worst thing ever to happen to music under Ray Wilson

Never Say Die makes me sad when I listen to it. The only word going through my head over and over is "Why?"
Yeah, what in the HELL is wrong with Ozzy's vocals on that album?

The music for An American Prayer is actually really damn good...the only reason I rank it last is because it doesn't feel like a real Doors record. More like Jim Morrison's farewell in a way.
Yeah but Morrison is on that album technically.

Lordi

The Arockalypse (2006) > Get Heavy (2002) > Deadache (2008) > The Monsterican Dream (2004)

Stone Sour

Come What(ever) May (2006) > S/T (2002)

Trivium

Ascendancy (2005) > Shogun (2008) > The Crusade (2006) > Ember To Inferno (2003)

Deep Purple is the band that got me into music as a whole, so I'm obligated to do one for them. I'm only doing the Ian Gillan albums, as those are basically the only good ones, although it almost feels incomplete without the amazing S/T album.

Deep Purple In Rock (1970) > Machine Head (1972) > Perfect Strangers (1984) > Fireball (1971) > Who Do We Think We Are (1973) > The House Of Blue Light (1987) > The Battle Rages On (1993) > Bananas (2003) > Perpendicular (1996) > Rapture Of The Deep (2005) > Abandon (1998)

EDIT: You must headbang to Deep Purple In Rock, no exceptions.

My Brand New is the same. You're the only other person I know that puts YFW above Daisy.

Nirvana aren't overrated, they're overexposed. Despite that they were still a great fucking band and Nevermind was by far their best record. Despite Smells Like Teen Spirit being played to death, it still doesn't take away the facts it was a good song. Shunning something just because it's popular, I never understand it. Nevermind gets the attention it does over Bleach because it's by far their best record.
