I use their album covers and posters of them for dart boards. The only reason they were even able to sell at least one cd is because someone stuck a nirvana disc inside the case. I'm sorry. they suck. They remind me of the roling stones in the sense that they get all of these good reviews and t don't deserve it. yes, I don't like the rolling stones. |
lmao how could you not like Pearl Jam?! Nirvana's my second favorite, but even Cobain himself argued with Eddie Vedder about Pearl Jam having a little more success. Of course they cleared that up, before 94'. I also like alot of their covers, especially when Eddie did the Ramones cover with Zeke.
They covered, "I Believe In Miracles", and I can't stop listening to it. |
Sorry to break up your little gtg, but I feel compelled to add Radiohead to my list.

I'd sooner watch a britney spears video and have the volume as loud as it can go instead of on mute. (the only reason you watch a britney spears video is because it's like pron only cheaper and more entertaining) |
I haven't heard enough of them to comment. I kind of liked the latest song, but I've heard others that I don't. I'll have to make my decision on them in the future.

hell if I had a body like hers I'd make a fortune int he porn industry (if it weren't for my stage fright when it came to these things) at any rate, one of my favorite musicians that is timeless is R kelly. His song Slow Wind is really amazing. Erotically amazing |
=)). R Kelly.....when I think of him, I think of the southpark episode where he, John Travolta, and Tom Cruise lock themselves in the same closet.
That was hilarious. |

I love R kelly. a lot of his songs are going to be playing at my wedding shuld I ever get married |
For some reason, the first thought that popped in my head was.....(She must want to have the honeymoon in a closet.)

if i could i'd have the honey moon in a condom factory on a deserted island. And just for the record I'm walking down the aisle to either freak like me by adina howard or closer by nin |
I like some of NIN's material. Reznor seems to have gotten a little too....something on alot of his latest work. I mess with my friend all the time, since he worships NIN. I can piss him off easily by saying, "You know it's bad when Garth Brookes can do a better job being Trent Reznor, than the real one can." Garth Brookes should be shot for trying to make it in another genre.

trent's voice is perfect for phone sex. I came to the show nice and dry and by the end of the first set I was standing in a puddle. bu the end of the entire show my legs felt hollow. The sound of his voice, it's like the (sound0 waves caress yuor body. Linger over your skin. it's amazing. It's orgasmic. You have no idea. I imagine that if I ever heard his voice on the phone, I'd get knocked up. |
lmao

Saliva

Nothing wrong with Saliva. Especially Josey Scott's part in Hero, with Chad Kroeger.

well it's true. on to a safer and original topic, forget abuot bands that have lost their edge, how abuot bands that were once good and then turned to crap? like avenged sevenfold and green day. grante dtheir both in two different genres. but my god. green day went from paradise to the waste lands with their american diiot album and all of avenged sevenfold's earlier albums are by far better than their latest one. |
Green Day's latest is nothing in comparison to the older stuff. The only song I can really listen to by Avenged Sevenfold at the moment, is Seize The Day.
I hate how the members have aliases like, "M. Shadows". It reminds me of something a 6 year old would want to be called, if in a band. Fixed*** I wish I could ignore my own typos =/ |
Quote:
I dunno. it adds an air of mystery to the members if you ask me. and perhaps a certain degree of immaturity depending on the name |
It could be used well. But something with shadows, just sounds like one of those gangster kids, threatening to shoot me with a cap gun.

Yeah that's true. Care to critique something for me, before I finish? I need opinions on certain things, before I decide to call it finished. And once I complete something, I like to have a sense of finality to it.

During the 90s my hatred of Vedder was almost at Bono like proportions. However since nobody gives a flying f*ck about Pearl Jam these days it`s subsided a little |
Down
Normally I wouldn't write something that cannot be possible...since alot of bands just stick in random crap now adays. You'll notice the first line, by what I mean.
-----Verse----- I'd hate to be inside the mind, Of a deadman To know the things, and feel the way That only he can I see the colors in the trees, But they're fading The seasons change inside of me (Thinking about adding another part here. Maybe not, but nothing I write is usualy this short) -----Chorus----- The sun goes down, it's getting colder 40 degrees, and it's dropping further Down, by me a river runs Into the bend, it never turns The lights go out, it's getting darker <---may be changed to sun also 30 degrees, and it's dropping further Down, with me you watch the world As it changes I will definately continue the chorus two more times, untill I reach a part I can add '10 degrees, it can't get much colder' The song changed ways, after the first line. I spent like 20 minutes getting this far last night. |
Quote:
The line you're thinking of changing don't unless you come up with something really really better. The most serious flaw in this si the line about a river running beside you. It doesn't quite fit. It needs to be tweaked. And now that I think about it, if length is something you seem to bea little big on then make the song longer and get ride of the line about the river and how it bends. You have nice imagery at the beginning and so you're also not too vague. And if appears that way then the beginning is ambiguous (in my opinion) and it shouldn't be touched anyways. Let the reader/listener interpret it the way they want to. Saves you some hassle. That's about it oh and PS: this should've probably wnet in the song writing forum . . . |
Yeah the whole river thing was thrown in, because I was thinking about making a "down with me, we're sinking". But I don't think I can use that in the second part. So I may change that, or find some way to make it fit.
I posted it here, cause I'm nowhere near done working on it, and you were one of the 2 people who commented on my last one. I like to keep everything a secret untill I'm finished, I guess =)). |
|
Didn't think about that. I'll use that next time, thanks for the reminder =)).
|
Quote:
and MJ's right we should probably start pmming at this point. |
I'll probably start work on it again tomorrow, and add a line about the river part. Then I can move "watch the world, as it changes" to the first part, and add a line about "as we're sinking", to the second. I'll pm you tomorrow, if I start back on it. I've got alot of crap to do in the morning, so I'm gonna head off in 10 minutes or so.

My top3 bores everyone els likes: Radiohead, Coldplay and U2. Ending with the same two as you. XD

And I've to realize that most bands/musicians I hate, I've also seen live. I huess it says something about the concerts i go to thenI think thare are maybe 40 bands i've seen live that i still like. |
I dont like Nickelback. His voice is annoying
and yea coldplay is just blah |
I don't think there is anyone on MB who likes Coldplay.
Hurray! |
I seem to find myself hating the Red Hot Chili Peppers a lot lately.
It`s almost as if the older I get the more annoying I find them. Doesn`t help that virtually every song I hear from them sounds exactly the same as the last. |

Oh wait...shiit >.>! |
No, Ethan, they're from North America.
They are obviously just a cheap rip off of *insert euro band here* |
