Hehe, well I may just be too thick to notice. I'll be giving this a listen and letting you know what I think soon. |
i think as far as political i was thinking mainly of the punk type stuff you listen to....not as a general overall view
to be honest looking at that post....it makes no sense at all :) either way Thrall is good stuff and unlike much of what you are into....and they are political in a very sarcastic way....i guess thats what i was reaching for |
bob., I'm sending you this...
It's the sound of a man rhyming over machines weeping... It gets more awesome as it goes on. Dalek - Absence (Ipecac, 2005) http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg |
^ Nice choice, that albums awesome.

From Unchained Ballad:
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Vi6QfjeIjP...s+1984++fr.jpg On first listen I liked it but it's not really anything I have heard before so I decided to listen to it again and it's a grower. The language is however a problem on an album where I do want to hear what they are saying as opposed to some foreign language albums i have and I can put up with it. All in all though- it's a keeper although the vocals sometimes grate. |

I have finally decided what to send to Jackhammer (thanks again for Jazzmatazz, I loved it). You listen to almost everything, but I've noticed there aren't many early Industrial acts on your last.fm (of the noisy kind like Throbbing Gristle). So I'm sending you:
Monte Cazazza - The Worst of Monte Cazazza http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...nteCazazza.jpg This is a compilation album from this very important eccentric figure of the early Industrial. It's been said he was the one who coined the term with his famous line: "Industrial music for industrial people". He's from San Fransisco, but he found like minded people in Throbbing Gristle in the late 70s. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it. The album opens with Psychiatric Review....yeah :) |

Bob. Forgot to reply to your last post at me. Systematic Death were the highlight for me on the Thrash til death album.
Anyone want to explore new genres? I am sure I will have something tucked away you could listen to! |
interesting.....i took you for an Outo kind of guy :)....Gauze has always been the standout band for me on the comp....but they all bring something to the table

for Canwllcorfe:
Spiritual Front - Rotten Roma Casino http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UU1DOoAV_A...00/RRC-400.jpg looking over your charts i noticed the Suicidal Black Metal (or at least stuff tagged as) kept popping up, a bit of folk and dark folk....and even some dark cabaret music Spiritual Front is from Italy and are a self proclaimed "Nihilistic Suicide Pop" band...and honestly i could not think of a better description for them....as the titled suggests this album mainly consists of songs with themes ranging from debauchery to heathen ethics....all of this done in a very 'tongue in cheek' fashion.....this is probably what it would sound like if the abandoned bastard love child of Ennio Morricone decided to make an album |
This is so bizarre.. I love it.
I really wish I could gauge people's taste better. I have music I could send to all you crazy cats, but not a clue as to what. |

Alright, I have one for you CanwllCorfe...
Music for Cats by cEvin Key. It's electronic but, I think, a little outside your normal sphere of electronica. Let me know what you think! http://cdn.7static.com/static/img/sl...021753_350.jpg |

Yeah I guess I could. |
Jackhammer sent me
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Bk-wO-1564...%2520Enemy.jpg At the risk of hurting your feelings, I'm not a huge fan of this record. I think it's a mixture of things. I find politically-charged lyrics hard to swallow if they're not done "right", and I'm not even really sure what makes them "right" for me. Also, call me racist, but the accents of the rappers interfered with my understanding and enjoyment of the vocal side of this album. My favorite track was "1,000 Mirrors", which makes sense because it's very much unlike anything else on the album. Thanks Jackhammer :yeah: |

RVCA: I was just about to send you something from the Saddest Landscape. I went to your Last.FM if you'd already played them before haha! Man. That's so weird. The same CD too.
