More or less made this point earlier. Rich and big sales does not necessarily equal being good. Just popular. A lot of crap (imo) is popular. Doesn't make it good.

Standardized tests is a pretty broad term. Some were; some weren’t. Sometimes teachers would lie about the stakes for the students so they would try.

Oh my god stop talking about chart success and album sales. It makes you sound like someone desperately reaching for credibility who will grasp at any straw to make your argument seem relevant. If chart success was an accurate arbiter of talent then Limp Bizkit would be more talented than Dokken (they both suck btw but I figure you like Dokken better than Bizkit).
