Afgan Whigs are pretty good I used to listen to them a lot in the mid 90s.

Their early stuff is kinda raw garagy grungy stuff but they mellowed out with each album & got more & more soulful & wrote more tuneful songs.

Gentlemen was released slap bang in the middle of their career and was their breakthrough album , so you kind of have the best of both worlds on that album , it has more energy than their later stuff but better songwriting than the early stuff. If you like that i`d highly recommend Congregation & Black Love ,which were the albums released before & after Gentlemen.

Ah excellent, thanks

Yeah I saw Gentleman going for 6 dollars at a store and so came home to see if I'd like them, I got half way through downloading some songs and it all turned to crap, my host went away. Try again today and maybe go back and grab it tomorrow.

Sounds interesting though.

Listen out for Carnavas, an album by Silversun Pickups. Excellent.

So um, indie band Cud, anyone like them, or more importantly, love them?

Interested in buying a cheap album of their's ("Rich and Strange") so any opinions would be sweet.
