now we're getting somewhere. you want to deny that Iraq, mainly its feuding Sunni and Shiite muslims are at fault for thei rown civil war. now in your infinite wisdom, please explain to us ley-people how the US bringing down a tyrannical dictatorship caused the Sunni's and the Shiite's to start offing each other?

Easy enough.

The "Insurgency" (aka Radical Muslims) has stated they will NOT end secretarian violence until America ENDS their occupation of Iraq.

America (aka us) has said that we will notend our occupation of Iraq until the Insurgents end secretarian violence.

You can see how those two positions put us into a circle of violence (directed against Shi'a Muslims, who then retaliate against Sunni Muslims) which can never end. This is what you call a civil war.

Common sense seems to be something you lack.
There was war in iraq before the us came along. There will be war long after.

Don't try to dig yourself out of a whole by saying I assumed incorrectly.
I didn't ASSUME anything as a matter of a fact, I simple read what you typed.

You assumed wrong in thinking there has never been a successful theology.

America (aka us) has said that we will not leave until the threat posed by insurgents is non-existant.

Now, if you can see how those two positions put us into a circle of violence (directed against Shi'a Muslims, who then retaliate against Sunni Muslims) will never end. This is what you call a civil war.
but it makes absolutely no sense for Shiite's to rebel against america by attacking Sunni's. theyre obviously just using that as an excuse to do what theyve wanted to do for hundreds if not thousads of years. theyre just using the US as a scapegoat. And if the US wont leave until the Insurgants are gone, and the Insurgants wont leave until the US is gone, then let them fight each, thus avoiding a civil war

There hasn't been one. if China as you mentioned was so successful, why isn't it still a theology?

But the insurgents are smarter than that.
By retaliating against Shi'a they

1. Accomplish what they would like to do anyway (eliminate Shi'a Muslims)
2. Risk LESS U.S retaliation by not directly attacking us

Using that logic there has never been a successful government ever.
There has never been a successful Democacy I guess since Greece is no longer a pure democracy.
Never been a successful Republic since Italy is no longer a Republic.

Point is, Theocracy lasted in China for over 1000 years, which is the longest standing form of government ever, tied essentially with the Byzantines who had a successful Empire for about 1000 years.

Thank you oojay, for proving what I have been trying to say.

What does he have to do with any of this?

Secondly, the argument isn't weak at all since almost every person in this country is in agreeance that America WAS a factor in this war (the Civil War, I mean). Conservative and Liberal news outlets alike.

Raine, your arguments are nonexistant.
