That’s lovely TH, little things like that will make a huge difference!

Ah right like an object, I don’t know why non-animal threw me off Brad Pitt’s underpants?? That’s oddly specific.

I have edited my post.

Thank you for your kind words Lis. I won't lie, it took a lot of setting up boundaries and my unease of telling them their shortfalls as I was turning 13. For a while they couldn't cope with the fact that they weren't meeting my emotional needs. They took it as a criticism which it wasn't. I try now to acknowledge any hard feelings and put them behind me so that I can move forward with positive intentions. Sorry if I am rambling!

Very like TH's, mine was also light grey in colour. I got it when a school I was in was selling off its old language-lab equipment. I still remember being blown away by the quality of the graphics when my son contrived to open this computer game on it:-

Omg that's so cool, I remember computers like that.

Voyager spacecraft - the only physical thing we've made that has left our solar system. At one level, that's our greatest achievement as a species. So, yeah, I can see myself as humanity's greatest achievement; in many ways I already am.

Oh wow, I'd like to ride in your Voyager spacecraft

I literally am tearing up reading your response to my story. I have been through some tough stuff in my life but there is always a fire there, inside me, keeping me going no matter how bad things seem. I am so blessed to have colleagues, friends, my manager, my counselor and my psychiatrist that genuinely care about me and to top it off my landlord is awesome and hasn't raised rent in the 4 years I've been here, installed a cat door for me, and installed air conditioning unit/heat pump.

At this point of my life I feel I have a lot to be grateful for. I've recovered from an abusive relationship, am recovering from chronic health issues and still have a job that suits me.

It threw me off too! I wrote cat, then though oh it's non animal, so wrote bird and googled it to find bird is an animal. I am a ditz sometimes.

And now I'm literally tearing up reading your post. As for the people you are blessed to have in your life, well - I think what has actually happened is that you have inspired and brought out the best in those people with your positive spirit and incredible resilience. You should be very, very proud of yourself. So glad things are looking up for you.

What a bastard! Can't he install a normal door? How do you get in and out? Must be a real squeeze...

I won't lie: it's getting harder.
But enough of my sordid sex life.

Let's get on to the questions.

1. What job, which you know you will never have, would you like to experience for a week?

2. How many languages can you speak?

3. Blinds, curtains (drapes, for you Americans), shutters, other?

4. Do you think life would, in general, be better or worse if somehow the internet had never been invented?

5. Do you believe, if we go out into space, we should concentrate on new worlds to colonise or strip-mining those we find in order to keep Earth going?

6. Who’s your favourite film composer?

1. What job, which you know you will never have, would you like to experience for a week? President of Russia so I can overthrow the regime

2. How many languages can you speak? One and a half. I took four years of French but forgot virtually all of it

3. Blinds, curtains (drapes, for you Americans), shutters, other? Blinds

4. Do you think life would, in general, be better or worse if somehow the internet had never been invented? A little bit of both I think

5. Do you believe, if we go out into space, we should concentrate on new worlds to colonise or strip-mining those we find in order to keep Earth going? It depends on whether other life forms are involved, we shouldn't upset another planet's ecosystem.

6. Who’s your favourite film composer?
Leonard Bernstein, always liked the West Side Story soundtrack.

1. What job, which you know you will never have, would you like to experience for a week?

Puppy entertainer, where you just play with puppies all day.

2. How many languages can you speak?

1.6

3. Blinds, curtains (drapes, for you Americans), shutters, other?

Curtains.

4. Do you think life would, in general, be better or worse if somehow the internet had never been invented?

Hard to say, but probably worse.

5. Do you believe, if we go out into space, we should concentrate on new worlds to colonise or strip-mining those we find in order to keep Earth going?

No. We can't just be ****in up whole planets. I'd be down if the method was based around not leaving an impact, like flying wind turbines on a windy ass planet.

6. Who’s your favourite film composer?

Teiji Ito
