1. Which instrument do you prefer in music, be it through playing it yourself or through the music that you listen to?

I love bass. Playing it and listening, be that electronic or string.

2. Are (or were) you wearing green today?

No.

3. What are your three "desert island" novels?

I honestly don't read novels, my personality type does not suite that kind of activity.

4. What is your least favourite genre of music?

Probably "screamo" to be honest. Not a fan of screaming or pathetic emotions.

5. If you had one million dollars and you had to spend it in one sitting, what would you buy?

I would probably buy all the downloaded music I have, and my own recording studio.

6. What is your favourite drink?

Overall... Milk probably. Alcoholic? Doff Cocker Honey Ale.

1. Which instrument do you prefer in music, be it through playing it yourself or through the music that you listen to?

I'm an avid guitarist, but I find it hard to turn away from a song with a great saxophonist.

2. Are (or were) you wearing green today?

A smidgen.

3. What are your three "desert island" novels?

SAS Survival Handbook: How to Survive in the Wild, in Any Climate, on Land or at Sea by John Lofty Wiseman; Boat Building and Boating by D. C. Beard; and while I'm taking a break on escaping the island, I'd like to read Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison.

4. What is your least favourite genre of music?

Pop-punk. I hate how the singers sound like they're crying.

5. If you had one million dollars and you had to spend it in one sitting, what would you buy?

I would most likely buy one million in various stocks.

6. What is your favourite drink?

I like the classic coke. Alcoholic, I'd say that I like the Ten Commandments dark ale from my local brewery The Lost Abbey.

Yep, I don't think I celebrate any holiday in a serious sense.

Also, Reggae would be right up there with my least favourites.

1. Which instrument do you prefer in music, be it through playing it yourself or through the music that you listen to?
I'll have to say mandolin. The only other fan of Chris Thile in the northern hemisphere (Garrett) will understand exactly why.

2. Are (or were) you wearing green today?
What makes you think I've been wearing anything today? :/

3. What are your three "desert island" novels?
Great question - I'll pick "That Hideous Strength" (my favourite ever novel), to depress me I'll also take "Animal Farm" by Eric Arthur Blair (or George Orwell as everyone seems to call him these days) and to cheer me up I'll take "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" like bob. would.

4. What is your least favourite genre of music?
Ska. Never held any other opinion about this. To me I don't understand the appeal - there's far better songwriting everywhere else, far better musical endeavour everywhere else, so why bother? To me it has the same appeal as having sex with a toaster.

5. If you had one million dollars and you had to spend it in one sitting, what would you buy?
I'd first of all convert it to pounds, and then I'd buy Lyme Park, which is very near where I live and is the place where they filmed movies such as "Pride and Prejudice". It's also where I took these photos.

6. What is your favourite drink?
Like a true Scotsman, I'll say Glenfiddich!!!

1. Which instrument do you prefer in music, be it through playing it yourself or through the music that you listen to?

I've been on a big country kick lately so I'm going to say the banjo. It's an incredibly versitile instrument that can really hook your attention and definitely one I'd like to learn some day, if only to satisfy my fantasy of sitting on my porch and play "Dueling Banjos" during real estate showings of other houses in the neighbourhood to scare away potential buyers.

2. Are (or were) you wearing green today?

One of my tattoos is green so I suppose that counts. If not then no.

3. What are your three "desert island" novels?

I'll stick to just fiction for this as the question clearly states 'novels'.

All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque
The Fall by Albert Camus
Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh

I wouldn't say those are my three favourite novels (well Trainspotting certainly is one of them) but they are novels I can reread without losing interest. Although if I could count the entire Song of Fire and Ice series by George R.R. Martin (including The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring) as one collective I'd definitely swap that out for The Fall.

4. What is your least favourite genre of music?

As with Bob I'd probably have to say reggae, just never really struck me as something I would want to actively listen to. I don't mind if I'm over at a friend's place and they put on something, but I just don't really listen to it on my own.

5. If you had one million dollars and you had to spend it in one sitting, what would you buy?

Hmm, probably paying off all my debts and the debts of my closest friends and family and then buy up some parcel of land somewhere and sink what's left into developing some kind of quasi-commune.

6. What is your favourite drink?

Coffee followed closely by whisky. Strangely though I dislike putting whisky in my coffee.

1. Which instrument do you prefer in music, be it through playing it yourself or through the music that you listen to?
I really like a guitar with a lot of effects, like in shoegaze but only if it's done well. Also like when vocals are used as an instrument a lot, especially in hip hop beats.
2. Are (or were) you wearing green today?
Yes, I'm wearing a green flannel shirt right now.
3. What are your three "desert island" novels?
Stephen King - The Stand, Robert Cormier - The Chocolate War, Charles Bukowski - Ham on Rye
4. What is your least favourite genre of music?
Probably Blues, or any Blues related stuff.
5. If you had one million dollars and you had to spend it in one sitting, what would you buy?
A bad ass mansion with a bar, a basketball court, a music studio with a bunch of instruments, and a pool.
6. What is your favourite drink?

Normal: Iced tea or Dr. Pepper, alcoholic: Olde English 800 or Captain Moe's.

Well done. Practical and all. Also, Invisible Man - very good. Haven't read it since AP English but it crossed my mind for a moment as well.

1. Which instrument do you prefer in music, be it through playing it yourself or through the music that you listen to?

Percussion/drums

2. Are (or were) you wearing green today?

I've been wearing green for a week straight. Nothing to do with St. Pattys

3. What are your three "desert island" novels?

"Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert Pirsig
"The Music Lesson" by Victor Wooten
"Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams

4. What is your least favourite genre of music?

Country, no doubt. While I agree where some say reggae because they wouldn't actively put it on, but nor would I. But country ... when that comes on, that's like "I need new friends" or "I need to leave"

5. If you had one million dollars and you had to spend it in one sitting, what would you buy?

"2 chicks at the same time"
"You don't need a million dollars for that"
"You do if you look like me"

Custom built "house of the future" on a budget - state of the art technology, all new computer(s) and games and movies and yay.

6. What is your favourite drink?

Beer: Russian Stout (Stone Imperial), Mixed Drink: White Russian, Shot: Cointreau, soda: cherry pepsi mountain dew, juice: pineapple

We appear to have similar tastes in books. Even as a site, because you're the third person to mention the Hitch-Hiker's Guide. I think I'll watch the film they made of it tonight.

The movie is terrible. You're much better off reading the books.
