1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?

Donkey Kong Country

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?

My life is a vacation? So, Oregon.

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?

I just submitted an application to work at Fred Meyer. Actually, I had been browsing webcomics the last hour.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?

The Day the Music Died?

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?

Yes. Bands with growling vocals, bested by Sigh. Electronic music in general, bested by the likes of Ooze, Bluetech, Ott, Benga, Skream, and a few others.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?

I do not know. Everyone probably has one, but everyone probably doesn't find theirs because of 'settling' and not traveling enough.

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?
Ocarina Of Time. I was obsessed with that game around the age of 10.

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?

Jordan. Pretty beautiful country, but I went there with my dad so the actual trip was quite opaque.

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?
Hmm. Don't know about the last counsious lie. I lie a lot about what I feel around other people because my emotions are a mess.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?
When man found out about harmonies.. They probably yelled together and found the beauty in it or something. Heeh.

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?
Hard to say. Acid jazz maybe.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?
It's probably bull****. I'm opposed to the idea that one human being can "complete" another human being, so this theory kind of rubs me the wrong way. Hehe.

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?

I don't really know. Super Mario Brothers was pretty smashing on the Nintendo 64, if I remember correctly.

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?

Last time was around a year or so ago to Northern California and Oregon, that was really fun, great bud up there. Funny that you should mention this, because tomorrow I'll be heading off to Arizona to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art, Grand Canyon, and my family for my spring break. I'm pretty excited.

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?

"No, officer, I have a license, I just left it at home."

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?

Stradivarius really made music individualized, and the countless classical movements are important as well. In terms of music that I love, I'd say that the delta blues movement had a massive effect on rock artists and experimental beings such as Cream or Captain Beefheart. Many of the classical music movements obviously has had a massive influence on the history of music as a whole, but I'm going with delta blues.

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?

I'd say that 90 percent of the music that I listen to is stuff that I never thought that I would listen to even five years back as an avid Three Days Grace fan. I would have never thought that I would listen to jazz, hip-hop, classical, etc. I was obviously quite a confused child at that time.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?

I'd say that the notion of a soul mate keeps everyone trying, but in terms of reality, I'd say no. It's very likely that someone will find the person that they can conceive is their soul mate since the population is so massive. It's only a select few that have nobody that entirely clicks with them as a romantic person, but that doesn't mean that they won't ever find someone for them. Long ramble short: no.

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?
For before PS1, Mike Tyson's Punch Out or Lemmings or Myst.

For PS1 days, FF7, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot 3, and many others, but I probably was only supposed to post 1 in the first place...

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?
Destin, Florida. A pretty typical tourist trap, but I've been to worse *cough, Myrtle Beach*

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?
Don't remember, I lie more than I should though.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?
There is no most pivotal of any of those IMO. They all culminated to form the point we are at today.

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?

Depends on what point in my life we're talking about. I was a classic rock bore a while back and swore off ever listening to rap (this was after my phase of liking Eminem, basically when he fell off the map).

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?
I don't believe there is a perfect match for anyone, but overcoming differences only makes a relationship stronger, so this isn't necessarily a bad thing. If they do exist, then the chances of actually crossing paths seem pretty slim (though it makes sense that if you can complete each other's sentences, you will wind up in the same places because of similar interests and life goals).

What is a soul mate anyways? Does that mean you see eye to eye on everything and never argue?

Ocarina of Time

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?
Colorado, it was super dope.

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?
I told my boss I have night class on mondays cause I want mondays off.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?
I have no idea. Probably Steven Ellison being born.

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?
Way back in the day I looked down on hip hop, now it's one of my favorite genres.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?
I think everyone has multiple soul mates, it's just that the chance of meeting even one of them is very slim.

I didn't answer my own questions, so here goes both sets.

1) You have to belong to another culture. Which one do you choose and why?
Swiss...because they are neutral and make tasty chocolate.

2) If the year consisted of only one season, which would you choose?
Autumn.

3) You can outlaw any one thing of your choosing. What is it and why?
Money. We'd work on the barter system. Or just the giving system, if you want.

4) All but ONE modern technology is banned. Pick the one that stays.
Plumbing.

5) If you had to listen to one type of music 24/7, what kind would you choose?
Soul music.

6) Do you think you can truly love someone if you can't pass gas in front of them comfortably?
I think you could truly love someone in that situation. The question is, how much do you question their love for you, if you think they won't accept you after you've farted in front of them?

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?
NES Tetris.

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?
Orlando, Florida.

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?
I can't even remember. It was probably about feelings or some such nonsense.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?
The point at which people were able to record and distribute it.

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?
Oh, I dunno...maybe ambient/slow core/post rock or whatever you want to call it.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?
I think it's possible for everyone to find a person that completes them and makes them feel whole and at ease. I just don't think there is only one person that fits the bill.

You could say the same thing for Belgium too.

Okay, I'll answer my own questions.

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?

Ocarina of Time.

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?

For a real vacation... spent 3 weeks in California with family. 1 week in LA, 1 week in San Diego, and 1 week in San Francisco.

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?

Yesterday I told my boyfriend that I was going to the library to study, but I just used that as an excuse to leave for a couple of hours because he was being annoying. I went shopping instead.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?

The emergence of atonal music in the 20th century. The fact that composers such as Schoenberg had the guts to really bend the accepted rules of music composition put in place during the Common Practice Period (i.e. Classical period), is pretty amazing and it forced people to open their minds to more avant-garde genres.

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?

Before I started university, I was always like "Ughhh classical music, who needs that? Only old people listen to that stuff!!!" I was so wrong and I wish I could go back in time to tell the younger me to keep an open mind.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?

I don't think people will ever find someone who truly completes them in every single way, but I do think that there is someone out there for everybody.

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?
Age Of Empires. Came out 2 years after I was born, so it's old-school enough for me.

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?
I dunno, going to Newfoundland is the only really significant vacation I've ever had. I go to Buffalo every summer for a few days though, so I guess that.

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?
I'm pretty honest, so I can't remember.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?
Probably when David played his harp to calm Saul down.

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?
Yeah, last summer I started listening to Stars Of The Lid. I don't think I ever really thought I'd get into ambient.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?
No, not everyone. I think a lot of people fool themselves into thinking that, and then just end up really disappointed.

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?
Is Kirby old school enough? I think so. Kirby. Anything Kirby.

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?
I can't remember. It was a really long time ago.

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?
Oh wow. I don't tell big lies, so it was probably a white lie trying to get out of doing a chore or something. I have no idea. I really hate lying.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?
kjhg

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?
I never thought I would like pop again.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?
Not one specific soulmate.

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?
PS1 Spyro the Dragon

2) Where's the last place you went on vacation?
Louisiana with family

3) What's the last lie you told somebody?
That something didn’t bother me, that did. I tell a lot of lies. But I am very sincere in my feelings toward people.

4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back?
I don’t know enough about music history to be able to answer this question. I think there have been a lot of pivotable moments.

5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to?
No. I’ll listen to just about anything.

6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales?
I used to believe in the concept of one soul mate, but not anymore. I think the best you can hope for in a relationship is mutual love and respect. Respect is very important, and it should be expected and reciprocated.
