Apologies if some of these have been asked before, but constantly trying to find new questions on a weekly basis, over a period of a couple of years, tends to get more difficult with every passing week.

First!

1. What's the strangest thing that's ever happened to you?
I was in the car driving down Wooster street here in New Haven when suddenly I saw a girl in my class with whom I had taken interest waving (apparently) at me. I waved back, only to look down and see none other than a human body in the gutter. Too shocked and confused to say anything, my mom just drove past it. Still have no idea what the hell happened.

2. Your most embarrassing moment...
I embarrass myself daily, despite how much I pride myself in not caring about all that.

3. What never fails to make you cry?
When I think about how much of an idiot I was a while ago, despite what she tells me is true.

4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
To be honest, it's my room. That's the only place where I don't feel strange at all to be totally alone.

5. What was the last thing you ever got grounded for?
I've never been.

6. Has a rumour ever been spread about you?
Sure. I'll not go into detail, it's very embarrassing. And true.

I'm still jumping out of my bed at night hallucinating spiders in my hair. Did it twice last night.

2. Your most embarrassing moment...
You guys are gonna like this one. Well, I was at a place called Fantastic Caverns one time, and I was with my great aunt Mary Ann (who is pretty old) and my brother. We were sitting in a waiting area with a bunch of people waiting to go through the cavern. My aunt got up to go do something (I think she was going to pay for something but I didn't know that at the time) Well, this wormy looking guy was standing right beside our table and all of a sudden, I see him grab my aunt's purse and he started walking off! I went "HEY! COME BACK HERE WITH THAT PURSE!!!!! THAT GUYS STEALING MY AUNTS PURSE!!! then I went up to him and tried to rip it out of hands. (Now I'm causing a huge scene) This guy gives me this absolute go-to-hell look and my aunt goes "Oh Lauren, thats not my purse, heres mine (she shows me her purse).
It was an IDENTICAL PURSE to my aunts and he must have set it down on our table when he was standing by us. So here I am, a whole crowd of people are looking at me, and I, being very upset and embarassed from what happened, I say out to everybody staring at me "What kinda freak carries a womans purse anyway!"

That animal abuse commercial with all those sad and skinny animals.

4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
Across the road from my house is a huge corn field with a single hedge tree out there. When I get mad or something and need to get out of the house, thats where I always go.

I don't get grounded, I just get the wrath of my father unleashed on me

i've had lots of really strange things happen to me,....but i'm also hyper aware of other people around me,....normally the strangeness has something to do with interconnectedness,.....if that makes any sence

2. Your most embarrassing moment...
i'm really not one that embarrasses easy,....but
when i was 16, 17 or so, i used to date this guy, blake,.....blake's house was about 10 mins from mine if you didnt get off the dirt roads,....i used to sneak from my house into his around 11 everynight and then wake up around 430 and go back home,....most of the time i wouldnt really be awake and i'd just throw on one of his tee shirts instead of gettin dressed to go home,.....one morning i ran bare bottomed passed his father who was sittin on the porch (i didnt see him) so the dog could go to the bathroom,....a few days later when his father let something slip about it at the dinner table i thought i was gonna die

3. What never fails to make you cry?
my parents

4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
there's alittle campground that the ccc built out in west texas with nothing and no one around it,.....its my favorite

5. What was the last thing you ever got grounded for?
i've been grounded most of my life,.....so,...i cant really remember,....most likely it would be for not coming home

6. Has a rumour ever been spread about you?

1. What's the strangest thing that's ever happened to you?
Living through two infections when I was a nipper that could so easily have killed me.

2. Your most embarrassing moment...
One of them was I was playing for my college football team and I missed the target from what couldn't have been less than two feet out of an open goal. Those were the days!

3. What never fails to make you cry?
Gazza's miss in the Euro 96 semi. Still gives me nightmares to this day.

4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
When I'm staying with my parents as I am now, just anywhere out in the countryside for some peace and quiet. Up in Bolton, the nearest library.

5. What was the last thing you ever got grounded for?
Never have been.

6. Has a rumour ever been spread about you?
Probably. I don't really care for what others say about me, so I wouldn't know what it was.

1. What's the strangest thing that's ever happened to you?
Being born.

2. Your most embarrassing moment...
What an awful subject to dig up! Okay, 2 years ago I was performing with my high school jazz band. I went out on stage with my guitar and music folder, but when I went to get my music out, I didn't see it there! So I panicked and went to see if I had left it backstage somewhere. Meanwhile, the rest of the band had to entertain the audience so they jammed. I didn't find the music so I decided to wing it. When I went back out on stage, the trumpet player next to me was holding up my music! That was so mortifying. I just yelled "sorry" to the audience and we played the set.

3. What never fails to make you cry?
I don't know. It takes a lot for me to cry.

4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
My room because no one will bother me, and also my car because if I need to go think about something or am mad at somebody, I just go driving.

5. What was the last thing you ever got grounded for?
Never been grounded. My parents didn't believe in it. They thought grounding was what made rebellious kids. That's pretty true, actually.

6. Has a rumour ever been spread about you?
Not one that I didn't start myself!

Oh dear...there are too many of them and we don't have enough room.
3. What never fails to make you cry?
Men crying at funerals, the end of Schindler's List, and onions.
4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
My favorite is Alaska...but when I'm not loaded with cash and able to do that, any quiet place will do.
5. What was the last thing you ever got grounded for?
Holy crap...that's been at least 20 years ago now. It was probably for back talking my parents or something though.
6. Has a rumour ever been spread about you?
Supposedly I've slept with my boss and a couple other co-workers. Wish I could remember...must not have been that good.

Seeing ghosts, even if I am just seeing things still pretty creepy.

2. Your most embarrassing moment...
Can't think of a most but a recent one was when I was at a concert and my friends band was playing. They weren't getting much response from the audience so during a quite bridge in one of there songs I started to go crazy and scream "YEAAAAAAAHH!!" to hear my voice crack like none other, and have the whole audience become quite and laugh at me.

3. What never fails to make you cry?
There's not one thing that makes me cry, but last time I cried I think it was because I thought about what my parents woudl do If I killed myself, like all those parents you see on TV talking about there kid who commited suicide.

4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
Sitting in the woodswith my ipod in and my oversized headphones.

5. What was the last thing you ever got grounded for?
Never been.

6. Has a rumour ever been spread about you?
Yeah, bunch of meaningless things like "oh my god he likes cindy" or stuff along those lines.

1. What's the strangest thing that's ever happened to you?
Oh, it's all very strange. Episodes of synchronicity are constant. My life kinda' plays out like some bizarre time traveling experiment gone awry, but my recollection of the future is usually better than that of the past.

2. Your most embarrassing moment...
I tried to smoke one of my dreadlocks once. Hey, It looked like a blunt to me.

3. What never fails to make you cry?
Nostalgic things that remind me of my daughter, certain Aesop Rock & Ray LaMontaigne songs.

4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
Right now, there's this trail that wraps around the beach that anyone who'd ever followed it would think actually lead to somewhere, but it just ends at the edge this steep precipice that overlooks the ocean and directly below is a beautifully violent current pool that crashes and breaks on the cliff walls. I like to sit with my feet dangling over the edge and think about how ****ing bizarre and beautiful life is.

5. What was the last thing you ever got grounded for?
Going out despite the fact that I was grounded. I think I was double secret grounded after that

6. Has a rumour ever been spread about you?
Many, mostly started by me.

I watched Orphan last night on bootleg, that was quite an experience.

2. Your most embarrassing moment...
I did a speech for my Expository Writing class totally unprepared, went up there and spoke about something I had only a vague idea of for like 10 minutes, still passed but my nerves were shattered.

3. What never fails to make you cry?
That scene in A.I. where the mother leaves robokid in the forrest and drives away, sooo fucking sad.

4. What's your favorite getaway spot?
Anywhere near water, preferably a beach.

5. What was the last thing you ever got grounded for?
I was grounded for bad grades when I was younger, but it didn't last long.

6. Has a rumour ever been spread about you?
I'm sure there have been plenty.
