Not necessarily the race card but yes it was an anecdotal statement mixed with an article I read once.

No, that's goofy nonsense. Regardless of how often it is true, if an employer did not fire an employee for being black, then their misinterpreting a situation does not magically change reality. That person is wrong, because they are wrong. Why should I even need to say that? It's a truism, right? Isn't it a truism?

Depends, people are usually pretty good at backing that kind of thing up.

His argument of "if you get fired for doing a bad job, you're also being racist" is not exactly a good argument. It doesn't even make any sense. If everyone followed that mindset, nobody would ever get fired even if they were doing a bad job.
