In my opinion most vegetarians would not consider meals made with fish and shrimp, who are animals, to be vegetarian foods or vegetarian-friendly. I wouldn't.

yes yes... there are a lot of filipino vegetarian friendly food, i just cant remember what they are called. my mum would hate me.

The teriyaki wraps are sooooooo delicious! Our local HyVee just started carrying them a couple months ago. They are expensive, unfortunately, but...mmmmmmm! I'll fork out good money to have the chance to get my fork into these wraps! :) :)

I disagree with this statement, I haven't come in contact with many vegans which they don't eat those two but the vegetarians that I have come across are all about the fish and seafood isn't off limits but they don't care about the whole "animal" factor.

I know Vegans don't eat fish and shrimp though but pesca whatevers do and it's fine in their opinion they are still consider vegetarian.

Buddhist vegetarians abstain from eating all life, but they do consume animal by-products (cheese, butter, eggs, milk)

and since Thee Virgin is not around, lemme try my hand at an absurd idea :-

in the Bible, it says "Thou Shall Not Kill"

since it's not explicit what you can't kill, and every organism is living, i surmise men can only eat sand, soil, rocks etcetera

i'm pescetarian... vegetables, fruits + fish. vegetarians wouldn't have me. LOL. it used to be Pesco-Vegetarian but when the vegetarians started denying us... they changed it to pescetarian.

it also said "there's a time to kill..."

can we pluck that out and apply that to killing fish and plants?

that's why when someone tries to argue a point by starting out their statement with

"In the bible"

their statement is now null and void because the bible is full of contradictions

Vegetarianism does not include fish. It annoys me when people say they are vegetarian, yet eat fish. I don't usually go in for labels, but with this it becomes frustrating when I say I am vegetarian and people start assuming I eat fish.

Call yourself what you are. If you eat fish but not meat you are a pescetarian.

Vegetarianism can include fish.

if you don't eat fish then you are a vegan.

Vegans and pescetarians are vegetarians.

plain and simple.

Being vegan is not eating dairy or any animal by-product. Just not eating fish does not make you a vegan.

Yes they fall into the same category, but technically eating fish is pescetarianism.

Vegetarianism is an umbrella term. But when you break it down, eating fish has its own category.

Simple.

You guys, stfu, no one really cares. If you guys want to get really technical and if i want to be a dick, you guys aren't including lacto-vegetarians and ovo-vegetarians

I don't really consider pescetarians to be vegetarians though
