Red Tail Ale

Pretty decent little ale from somewhere in California. I wish I had more to say about it, but it's just a damn good ale.

I picked up some Baileys that I'm going to sip on later

I feel like the only sober one here. My date tonight was Mr. Pepper.

how dare you insult the doc by not referring to his title that he worked hard to earn?

That's Mendocino, right? If so, also check out their Eye of the Hawk. Just about the most dangerously drinkable ale at 8.9% ABV you're going to find out there. Pretty solid stuff.

I will see if Total Wine has it because you've made it sound so good.

It really is good. Very rich, coffee and caramel notes to it, which almost completely mask the incredible amount of alcohol by volume you're putting into your body. Usually, at over 6% even, you're going to taste a little booze. That one seriously tastes like it could be your average 5.5%, booziness-wise.

One could easily drink an entire six-pack of those without even thinking about it, and get completely sloshed before you knew what was happening.

As an aside, in reference to my evening's drinking:

Just finished my Trappistes Rochefort 10, and all I can say is that I consider that beer a work of art.

At 11.3% ABV, it was bound to taste somewhat of alcohol, the mouthfeel slightly anesthetizing ones' tongue, but the amount of flavor, the balance of flavor, and pretty much every aspect - from look to the yeast settling to the bottom of the glass - was absolutely gorgeous.

I had the 8 not too long ago ( along with a St. Bernardus Abbot 12 :D) and I can say it was no less of a masterpiece.

Some sort of bubbly red. My head is having an outer body dizzy moment which means all is well.
