It can go both ways. For me, I learned more about my friends.

With one of my friends I had sex with, I just realized how much more of a selfish person she was. And I had no desire to be friends with someone like that in the first place.

With another one, I realized we were able to become closer. We joke about it sometimes, and other time we use it to try to figure out what her boyfriend is doing wrong. xD

i guess it depends how close you are. me and my buddy weren't great friends to begin with so it works well for us. brought us closer together in many ways, like some friends share a sport or craft - we share sex
