As someone who used to fish in water as a kid where muskies lived, and who heard all about fishing and fish from that area from family members for years, this legit pisses me off. This honestly just made me change my policy on spiders in the house. I don't bother with spiders I see outside, but I generally kill large spiders, like Wolf Spiders, that can actually bite and hurt me if they're inside. I can't honestly get pissed off at this video though, and then go and squash some spider that I could either ignore or take outside. I draw the line at Black Widows or Brown Recluses though. In the time it would take me to get a cup to catch the spider with, it could disappear and then I've just got an evil Satan spawn wandering around that will prevent me from being able to sleep. I'm not Jesus, so sue me.

Never seen a Brown Recluse, though I know they're around, but I've seen a couple Black Widows. They do indeed raise the hairs on the back of your neck. Little demons they are.

Killing is bad. But luring them and hooking them in the mouth for fun is okay. Fishing is a disgusting pass time.

I know you have to make jokes because you have no morally justifiable defense. Animal rights aside i never understood the appeal, its quite boring on slow days. If you want to relax why not get a hammock or bring a book?

I eat what I catch if it's a fish worth eating, that's justification enough.

Don't care about having a morally justifiable defense to be perfectly honest. I feel kind of like an ******* when the hook sets wrong in a fish and goes through the eye or something, but at least from what I understand fish don't have much if any feeling in the actual skin around the jaws. So I'm good. It's just a thing I was acculturated to as a kid, I guess.

And just being on or around the water and soaking in the atmosphere is glorious. Throw in the interest from figuring out how to actually catch a fish, the burst of excitement when you get a bite, and the booze, and all of a sudden you have an afternoon of absolute chill.
