Well if their raising their kids as vegan, then surely breastmilk would be an animal product, just like cows milk is.

That's ridiculous. The whole point of being a vegan is to not have products that result from animals being slaughtered, kept in captivity etc. For example hens are cooped up in god awful conditions to produce eggs for us.

It is human nature to produce milk and to eat meat, hence being known as omnivorous.

If you are going to be vegan, you'll be of more use if you try being an activist for better living conditions of the animals.

Then why won't vegans eat free range eggs?

You know it's a moral stance. You know there's no moral dilemma to babies drinking mothers milk that vegans as a group should care about. Don't troll the thread by acting like you don't know. There are 27 pages, many with lots of good arguments on them, that you could try and have a look at instead. Maybe after checking up on that, you can criticize veganism with something a little more substantial than a trolly remark about titty milk.

See my previous post, If it is purely just an animal welfare thing, then why not eat free range eggs, and drink free range milk.

And what about all the voles, mice, insects etc that are killed via crop harvesting to make the bread/anything else they eat. I thought it was a split between the animal welfare thing, and the not wanting to eat something that's been inside an animal thing.

It seems you're trolling more than I am, I asked the same question that it turned out, after some googling, a concerned vegan had written in the times blog and asked about, so how that makes me a troll I don't know, unless it was also me that wrote in to the times as well with the sole intent of trolling forums with.

I have not posted one 'pointless' reply to anyone in this thread, except maybe this one to the moronic post you have just made.

It seems to me you're trolling more than I am. I've not been either abusive or rude in this thread, and am just met with dismissive replies and **** like the post you just made.

I honestly don't know why I bother sometimes.

EDIT: It seems the post I was replying to has been deleted, making this one look slightly daft. Oh well.

EDIT AGAIN: Why was it deleted? Let have his moronic rant at me, I'm perfectly capable of defending myself against idiots like that, and he was only making himself look stupid.

It was not deleted by a mod, I deleted it myself (hoping) it would be before a reply was made. I thought your replies were done sarcastically simply to invoke a "reaction", but after re-reading I see that your tone was more genuine. Via internet, text message, etcetera it's often easy for me to misread a person's intent- so I will say I'm sorry, and carry on.

No I'm not a vegetarian and no, eating meat is not murder, unless you're eating human meat (and actually murdered said human). I have no problems with vegetarians and they can have their reasons for how they do things (however moronic they may be) as long as they don't start pushing their inane beliefs on me.

Again, you could try and read what the vegans have actually written in this thread. That might answer your questions - or at least in part so that you could formulate some new ones based on what's been going on in this thread instead of just gluing some half-hearted contribution to the end of it.

You could read this earlier post for example : Why I became a vegan, an essay by Vegangelica

Many of the questions you pose or would perhaps like to pose have already been asked and answered.
