when customers ask me "do you work here?" I usually answer politely but I'd like to say things like "nah, they just gave me this badge because I look like the type" or "if I didn't, this would be kind of awkward".

I went to a funeral not long ago (I won't go into specifics) and though I had taken every precaution to be as respectful in front of a bunch of Mormons, respectful and solemn as possible around the corpse during viewing time, and not to cry too much during the service, I made a phone call to my landlord afterwards because I needed her to call maintenance on our clogged toilet.

I made a call about a clogged toilet in the corridor of a Mormon temple (or whatever they call it).
