Conan has cool voice, I already knew this but now everybody knows.

Burning Down 01-23-2011 02:05 PM

The fan is the best part :)

James 01-23-2011 02:13 PM

No.
"that's a cd" is the best part.

Conan has a cool voice.
Like a white Barry White.
Smooooooooth.

downwardspiral 01-23-2011 02:50 PM

your voice is amazin.

RVCA 01-23-2011 03:10 PM

YOUR VOICE SUCKS

no, I'm jk'in', it's nice

TheCunningStunt 01-23-2011 03:42 PM

I couldn't find my camera, so I used my phone.
Pretty terrible pictures, but meh. They'll do.

http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1295822413

The view from my bed. Usually there's a film on that TV or football.
I'm going to invest in a 50" TV soon though. :D

http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1295822375

Pretty crappy photo of my wardrobe.

http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1295822240

When I can be bothered, I'll get a much nicer acoustic guitar and put all 3 up on the wall. But for now, they sit here.

http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1295822325

And this is where the magic happens.

http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1295822496

My DVDs.

Figures. I got a death threat from a (seriously borderline) girl one time. She got banned from my forum too. She knew where my house was. So that was pretty scary. She didn't show up. I put some camera's around my house. So it's just a threat, I guess.
Being a mod isn't always easy...
I'm still not sure whether you should let fear decide that much. But I understand your point.

That and it's messy here!
Alright. Good reason. Still a pity though :D.

s_k 01-23-2011 04:52 PM

@ Conan: Haha, your voice is great. I speak really LOUD compared to you.
Loved the of/on/of/on *end* part :D.
Not so much of a mess though. Just some laundry and **** next to your bed.

@ Cunningstunt: Nice :). Beatles book = Wicked :D.

I just wonder about two things looking at both your video and pics.
I don't see anything to play music on, I don't see any CD's, I don't see any computers.
Where do you post on this forum? Where do you listen to music?
I mean, there's a set in every room of my house except for the bathroom :D.

There's a collection of Beatles CDS under the little booklet.

There's a stack of CDs next to my DVDs, just on the floor. I used to use one of the racks for my CDs, but I buy more films than CDs so I emptied the rack to make space for my DVDs.
I have a CD player behind my blinds on the windowsill.

Laptop mainly.

Hadn't noticed the laptop :D
Through those little screechy speakers or headphones?

Through the little shitty speakers. DON'T JUDGE ME.
Btw your accshent is brilliant <3
You speak better English than some British people.

s_k 01-23-2011 05:24 PM

Edit: Something went really wrong in this posting. Disregard this one :D
Editited it by accident and can't get it back the way it was.

TheCunningStunt 01-23-2011 05:27 PM

I'll still listen to music on my laptop speakers, unless listening to vinyl completely blows me away and there's no way back. But for now, I plan to listen to bother.
Listening on here is really convenient and the sound quality isn't too bad.

s_k 01-23-2011 05:48 PM

I dunno, I can't think of anything worse than laptop speakers, apart from maybe a mobile phone. But then I don't know your laptop :D.

Youtube isn't working now by the way.
It's sticking at 86% when processing the video.
Sucks :(

jackhammer 01-23-2011 05:52 PM

SK you have a cool place. I have a family so I can't really impose myself on where I live too much because we just don't have the room but here is my DVD collection built into an alcove:
http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/c...o/DSC00152.jpg

s_k 01-23-2011 05:53 PM

Even more DVD's than TCS has.
I have... Fifteen DVD's? And I don't really watch them...

TheCunningStunt 01-23-2011 05:55 PM

I have nearly 200, I reckon JH has about 600ish by the looks of it?

Yeah it is roughly 600 and that was taken around 8 weeks ago so the configuration has changed on the bottom shelves for more. There is an electrical socket smack bang in the middle of the lower section so I cannot add another shelf :(

s_k 01-23-2011 06:21 PM

Something went wrong with a posting I made above.
Still have the text that was in it, so here it is again:

I've made a little update video by the way. Don't plan on doing this everytime.
I'll upload this as is, it's only one minute long. Took this one with my photocamera as my videocam battery is now charging :)
So... Here it is!

I had to get used to speaking english in the beginning. So I'm sorry the first minute sounds like complete crap.
Enjoy :)

OMG I love your accent!! Seriously...I'm getting myself over to the Netherlands.

Im thankful that there are other people on this planet with messy rooms. Right now there's junk all over my bedroom floor that I'll try and clean a little before I give you the guided tour. Just my room though. I'm living with my parents this year and they prolly don't want pics of the house all over the Internet. Plus it's just way too big :). I'll make a video later this week.

Freebase Dali 01-23-2011 08:20 PM

I probably won't show my apartment because it's so clean and organized, it's fucking weird. I don't think I have OCD or anything, but things are so meticulously organized and impersonal, I will likely come off as a serial killer.

Plus, shit like that ain't all that interesting to begin with. But there's value in a mess. People's personalities are strewn about in their rooms. But all my personality goes into this here computer, or somewhere outside of my home. I couldn't give a damn about how personal my apartment is. All I care about is that it's functional, and clean enough that I don't get yelled at after monthly inspection/maintenance.

Is that weird?

You have a monthly inspection?

Looking at how awesome everyone else's rooms are, I'd almost be embarrassed to post mine - a lot of my cool shit is at my parents' house still, and my room itself - where the majority of my stuff is - is pretty tiny and bland.

s_k 01-23-2011 08:31 PM

Who cares, it's nice to have look into someones life eitherway :)

Yea. I can't really complain too much though, as at least maintenance is here for pest control and to change out air conditioner filters and the like.
The inspection part really isn't an 'inspection', but if your shit is nasty, it gets reported. So I don't leave any room for interpretation in that department.
After a while, it just becomes second nature.
Well... I sorta got that nature from being in the military... we had some serious inspection shit going on there. Consequences were bad. I guess I can attribute my behavior to that, mostly.

s_k 01-23-2011 08:39 PM

Montly inspection? Is that an American thing?
Weiiiird!

No, it's definitely not an American thing. I've never heard of anyone having that before.

s_k 01-23-2011 08:42 PM

Neither have I. Well, in some student houses. But that's a different thing I guess.
I don't think I'd stand it if someone came and checked my house every ****ing month.
It's my place. Now go away.

Likewise. For instance, 90 percent of my music studio is in storage at the moment because I live in apartments and can't use any of it anyway... so in my room I have a bed, 2 end tables with lamps, a workout bench with weights that haven't moved in ages, and a glass L-shaped desk with a small fraction of gear on top and underneath.
I'd like to put stuff on the walls, but I spent too much money on crap for my living room and while it looks sweet, I don't even freakin' use it. :(

s_k 01-23-2011 08:47 PM

90% of my music studio is in storage too.
You don't want to know how much stuff I have :D.

Weird. When I first got this place I was wondering about the inspection thing too, so I did some Googling and apparently a lot of people have them in some form or another. But like I said in the last page, it's not so much an inspection as it is a "if ya shit is ****ed up, you'll get reported on by the monthly maintenance guys".

I just don't like how they come in regardless of whether you're home or not. They have keys, and they use them.

90% of your music studio looks like it's composed of different versions of reel-to-reels. I wouldn't worry about us not being able to imagine what it would look like in its full glory.
;)

Yeah, man that's weird. In no part of the country I've ever lived in have I ever even heard of that.

Ghehe, DAT, Minidisc, cassette, soundcraft mixer, big deal of computers with ESI Soundcards, DBX units, my beautiful SL-1200, some tannoys. It's not just tapedecks connected to some old crap. It's very wel looked after like-new tapedecks connected to some high end audio. There's a difference.
It still looks like old crap though
