What was the recipe and was this your first attempt?

First time. I took like 10 recipes and boiled them down into my own thing, I thought I took a photo of what I wrote down but I can't find it.

This is the gist, leaving a lot of things out: I took chicken thighs and cut them into bits, did a few hours of yogurt and spice marinade, seared the bits and set them aside. Sauteed onions and garlic in the same pan, bloomed the spices, added tomatos, ginger, and some other things I can't remember and simmered it for a few hours. Used an immersion blender on it, added cream and chicken, then simmered it for a couple hours more and served it over rice.

It'll probably be different next time because I cook like free jazz, bitch. Do you have any general recommendations?
