Burn food???

That doesn't sound like a passable housewife to me.

I'm a sh it as hell cook but even I don't burn food!

Because they didn't look for it then.
I know several people who are the same age as me and autistic, all of them have only been diagnosed with it in the past 5 or 10 years. I've read what the symptoms are and I know I showed a lot of those things when I used to be a kid yet nobody even suggested once I may have a mild case of it.

Speak to anybody around the same age as me and they'll tell you they'd probably never even heard of autism until the late 80s / early 90s.

As long as he didn't think you meant he was a NoIncomeNoJobAppilcant for a mortgage! Seriously, anyone who'd get upset about being a silent killer, no doubt a very honoured personage in Japan, don't see it. Not as bad as my boss, who was talking to the boss of one of the companies we did business with in the eighties, a black gentleman. When asked were we busy, you guessed it: "Sure we're up the walls, working like nig gers here!" He took it in good part. You can't get too upset about these things.

She says the phrase "working like niggers" is 10x more racist/offensive than inadvertently calling a Japanese guy a ninja.

I used to work with an old redneck who said "working like niggers" a couple times. He used it like it was just another idiom he picked up from his impoverished, uneducated past, but he was also pretty racist.

That is what I meant and yes, that phrase is very racist. It should not be taken lightly.
