Craziest news of the day - The Independent reports and includes footage of thenewly discovered 'world's oldest man' - Mbah Gotho in Indonesia - with legal birth papers stating he was born December 31, 1870. He is 145 years old.

The report states:

Quote:

Mr Gotho said he began preparing for his death in 1992, even having a gravestone made, but 24 years later he is still alive.

He has now outlived all 10 of his siblings, his four wives and his children.

Though his age is impressive, Mr Gotho told a regional news network: “What I want is to die.”

Imagine it -

Lincoln had been assassinated just 5 years before his birth and Gettysburg was recent history.
The first Transcontinental Railroad was brand new
The Pony Express was still active.
The democratization of photographic technology
The Industrial Age
The Russian Revolution
The Statue of Liberty
WWI, WWII, Vietnam, the Cold War
Wright Bros first flight
The Model T
Relativity
The birth of Jazz
The Great Depression
The birth of television
MLK
The British Invasion

...and every other major event of the 20th century occurred when he was over the age of THIRTY!

He also survived polio, smallpox, measles, mumps, and rubella.

And this dude was chillin' in his hut the whole time.

He's 145 and he smokes too. He probably wanted to kick the habit like over a hundred years ago. Which only proves that smoking is a tough habit to break. Also he's (allegedly) 20 years older than Fred Hale, Jr, which means he was somewhere getting drunk in some bar, while Fred Hale, Jr was in diapers - unbelievable!

Went disc golfing yesterday and had a fart that went bad. Thankfully there were portapotties handy. But about ten minutes later my butt just started burning like a mother****er. Long story short I was forced to go to work today with a raging ass rash (my manager wouldn't let me call out).

My old office was a 10 minute walk from a "Wings and Things". After lunch one day I'm walking back and about one minute into it I had a FTWB™.

Ugh. Worst 9 minutes of my life.

Just saw the worst trainwreck of a film trailer of my life - Snowden.

Hollywood is trying to make a buck off the most important digital rights issue of our time. And to keep the biopic as accurate as possible, they've loaded it with action sound effects, suspenseful chase scene climax music, sex, and a few explosions for good measure.

And some spooky 3D spy software visuals.

...and throw in Nicholas Cage. Because that's always a good idea.

The Citizenfour documentary film already exists, and it accomplishes everything a Snowden film needs to. I know I have a significant anti-Hollywood bias, but it's precisely cinematic titanics like this that drive that tendency.

Not to mention that movies such as that are just plain boring. I've heard about The Davinci Code since it came out but I tried watching it and just could not. Same with any 2000's action movie, the editing in those just make them unwatchable.
