Who are these ruffians who seek to sully Chiomara’s good name? I'll not stand for it! I shall defend my Lady of Nerdom's honor with my last breath!

I’ll have you know that Chiomara has a magnificent command of language. She is ever-articulate and remarkably eloquent in her diction. Like myself, she has a propensity for long-form novella-style writing, (our correspondences usually clock in at ~5,500 words each). Her vast knowledge of microcosms of culture from all regions of the world spanning many centuries of history leaves me looking comparatively like a mere schoolboy.

And her musical proficiency is subtly nuanced with her familiarity of many bizarre and wonderful subgenres which I am eager to explore in our future communications.

I can certainly understand the suspicion which has arisen that we are one and the same nerd - we’ve both a fondness of late 19th century lit and linguistic prowess, we both relish in theatrical and whimsical dress, we share a lust for regal and opulent Victorian decor and antiques, and our nerdiness is rarely matched.

But let me assure you, Lady Chiomara and I are indeed two separate, equally eccentric, and equally brilliant individuals. We rule over all Nerdom together, resplendent in our velvet and satin attire.

Make no mistake - Chiomara is one clever woman.

I’m so glad you wrote this, and I totally agree. Chiomara is amazingly brilliant and her writing is alive with wit and wisdom – and of course the same goes for you, innerspaceboy. You are also both very gracious and kind people – which makes you all the more impressive in my estimation. You both intimidate the hell out of me! Long may the Lady and Lord rule! :wavey:

I hope you peed on him a little bit to establish your dominance.

Following your wife's advice I see.

Ribbons, you're much too kind! Thank you. I merely try not to be annoying (believe it or not I do try to tone down my personality a bit) ; I'm just a high school dropout with a computer, after all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Innerspaceboy, check your email!

^ I HIGHLY recommend having an email correspondence with him, by the way. Endless factoids and entertainment! Spell-binding prose! A MARVELOUS, kaleidoscopic human being. (That last sentence is intended to be read in a manic 1950s infomerical voice, btw) Clearly it was time for the world to have a new Lord Byron.

And emailing is a thousand times better than Facebook (that horrid, festering hell realm) or trying to stay within the absurd PM character limit. I mean... HOW can one thoroughly discuss anything with such a limit? You just can't, especially if you're writing a dissertation about antique furniture. (This is why so many of my past long-distance correspondences began on forums.)

Anyway, back to my wine/making my thunderstorm playlist.
