^ Yep, good old pen and ink, Plankton ! After 13 years in architecture I was made redundant in a big recession in the 'nineties. That's when I came to Mexico and changed profession, so I missed out on all that fancy CAD stuff...

I'm guessing all your design work was CAD, right?

Sounds like you were a mylar and vellum guy. I started on the board in the early 90's, and did pretty well, but it didn't take long for CAD to replace all the eraser plates, triangles, and t-squares. I already had some background in PC's so it wasn't much of learning curve for the transition. It's been a long road since then, and I'm still learning and having fun with it.

I work at a franchise store that works under UPS. I pack and ship items as well as many other copy shop style things.

^ Ah! You were more adaptable than me then! Yes, I remember all those techniques with stencils, templates, ammonia-based copying of blueprints, etc.

I mainly worked on two types of project; enormous new-build residential complexes for the Middle East, and at another extreme, tricksy, regulation-heavy office-refurbs for London.
