I had a friend that went 'picking' all the time and fixed everyones bikes for free using the parts from the bikes he grabbed out of peoples garbage. He even made a good bike out of a few crap ones for someone that needed to get to work and had no vehicle.

He's dead though. He had a grabber and no one was around.
