Air is free. They still manage to devalue it though.

^ Things have worked out pretty well for me: some of my peers have done better, but many have done worse.

I've had some good luck in my life, but also worked hard and made some good decisions. Probably my best single piece of good luck was to be born with good health in a country that offered free furthur education. My best decisions: grab that free education, find challenging work, look after your health, don't get addicted to anything and be careful with money.

That's the Lisna formula for those of us who are not lucky enough to be grindy-level awesome.

That's a decent way to get through life with some cash in yer pocket. Unfortunately I failed the addiction part. Bleh.

Even though I went through the military and signed up for the GI Bill, I used the POET (Presidents Office of Employment Training, which is now defunct) program (which was free money for any who qualify) for a fast track drafting school and climbed the corporate ladder using that as my springboard. The problem I had was that I got quite a few dream jobs, but I couldn't hang on to em being an addict. I loved drugs more than I loved having a great job.

Same to you, Mindful.

I was in during peacetime, so it was actually a lot of fun. I spent most of my time touring Germany and the surrounding area. Amsterdam was great.

I just found out I made the highlight reel from a tournament I was in a while back. They show a bunch of great throws and people making putts, then towards the end, they show a group of people sitting at a bar. I'm in the shot waiting for my dinner. Sums up that weekend nicely.

I swam in the ocean today. The waves knocked me around and wore me out fast.
