i actually haven't found evidence of anyone in my family having ever served in the military. i know my dad was rejected from joining the army after high school because he failed the psych exam, and his father was able to dodge the draft somehow. my mom's dad didn't serve either, but he did bring a lot of great coke into the country. everyone who immigrated through ellis island didn't settle until they reached idaho and utah, and otherwise it's all potato farmers from ireland and religious settlers from norway so well outside the area of the civil war. my baby brother just graduated and is joining the marines though.

Oh yes, the White America that venerates black athletes, musicians, and comedians would just clutch their pearls if they somehow found out that black people can be violent too. I'm sure the media would love nothing more than to run a nice biopic of him during these Black Lives Matter protests.

Alright maybe the true crime community is a different beast than I've been used to over the years just cause podcasts have nerdified the whole thing but I still say that Samuel Little will be ignored by White America in general on the same basis every black serial killer is ignored: he's black and he kills black people.
