I am totally open to living in someone's shed/basement/attic in Canada or wherever. My next job won't even be paying me enough to live off of, so I'm not attached to anything here at all whatsoever. (But it's kind of hard to plan a move when you want to bring your best friend who happens to have a very sensitive blind cat that needs to be considered)
On the topic of AYAOTD, I still haven't made it past the end of season 4/season 5 because it is so agonizingly, brazenly awful (and not in a fun way like the first two seasons)

Now I'm just imagining you moving up north and living above a bakery with a talking pet moose, like a Canadian version of Kiki's Delivery Service.
Worst case scenario, you and your friend could probably buy an old RV, though I don't know how well the cat would adjust to it. I work at a campground, and we get a lot of people between jobs who live out of vehicles. We even used to let one or two stay for free every season, until one lady stole a bunch of ****.
And let me just say, inner turmoil ****ing sucks. It's like, you finally manage to get away from people for five seconds, and yet they keep bouncing around in your head anyway. Should charge those ****ers rent. And then self loathing shows up, and is like "Yo, we havin' a party?" and invites his buds, paralyzing fear and crippling self doubt. And then you're awake at 2:00 A.M., writing a story about a guy who finds out that all his **** is being stolen by invisible goblins, and surfing through the selection of novelty cups on Amazon in another tab. And besides the type of inner turmoil where you feel like forcibly clawing bad memories out of your brain, there's also the kind where you're just ****ing done with the world, and want to practice Hokuto Shinken in a cave hidden behind a waterfall. **** sucks.
Btw, I've seen every single episode of AYAOTD, even the meh ones, and I regret nothing. |
