Dear Batlord,

How come I enjoyed The Dark Night but have disliked or found non-memorable every other Batman related movie I've seen, along with most other comic book/superhero related movies?

My brother in law tried showing me Guardians of the Galaxy but there were too many distractions around for me to follow what was even going on in the movie, but what i did see didn't seem like my thing.

I sorta enjoyed the first few episodes of The Punisher on Netflix, and then stopped watching for some reason.

Why don't I get the appeal of comic book/super hero **** even though i fit the demo?
