Seems to me like someone is more willing to cling to a modern colloquial usage than use what's appropriate for the context.

Which is why I'm standing up against it, but at least you recognize that your stance is only driven by arbitrary conformity.

Like is there really a loss of communication when I say This Heat is a good band?
