I know you're being facetious, but anachronisms that maintain credibility via regression to the mean and are perpetuated by social cues are tantamount to being possessed by the dead, aka ghosts.

Lol what?

Give me a serious scientific link that says sexual selection is controversial.

And it is about overrides. You just said a few posts ago that our biology lead to us being so completely ruled by learned behavior that you would "win a noble prize" if you could show a way in which we are bound in any way to nature.

I can't read the paper, just the abstract, but it does not at all call sexual selection as a concept into question. In fact, the abstract ends as such:

Quote:

Recent studies show that both intrasexual competition between females and male choice of mating partners are common, leading to strong sexual selection in females and, in extreme cases, to reversals in the usual pattern of sex differences in behavior and morphology.
Dunno why you would possibly think this is calling sexual selection into question lol

Honestly sexual selection is just as grounded in biology as natural selection

You might as well start repping intelligent design

Non-evolutionary themed relationship question-

How much, if at all, do you judge a romantic interest for their exes?
