I can't read the paper, just the abstract, but it does not at all call sexual selection as a concept into question. In fact, the abstract ends as such:

Recent studies show that both intrasexual competition between females and male choice of mating partners are common, leading to strong sexual selection in females and, in extreme cases, to reversals in the usual pattern of sex differences in behavior and morphology.

Dunno why you would possibly think this is calling sexual selection into question lol
