Nope it was a band with D in the beginning of their name I remember it being just like gutteral screams for the most part. It was some avante garde bs.

Yes! That's exactly what it was one of their albums.

A place where people express absolutist and reductive opinions praising the kind of music they love and ridiculing all other kinds of music they don't happen to enjoy.

For me, it would be a never ending Eagles concert that I can't leave, with frequent between song blather from Glenn Frey and Don Henley about how the Eagles are the greatest band ever and how much punk and other musical genres they don't understand suck.
